Objectives: The objective of this study was to use in vitro models to examine the bite registration accuracy of four different intraoral scanners (IOS) for edentulous maxillary and mandibular arches. The objective was to assess the trueness and precision of the IOS and determine if there were significant differences between them.

Methods: An Asiga Max UV 3D printer was used to print maxillary and mandibular edentulous models based on the shape of Frasaco models (artificial dental arch models).

Purpose: The aims of this study are to assess symptoms, health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and associations between symptoms and HRQoL in adult patients with myeloma or lymphoma undergoing autologous stem-cell transplantation (ASCT) during the pre- and post-transplantation phases in the outpatient setting.

Methods: This longitudinal, observational study conducted at a Swiss tertiary care hospital assesses the prevalence, frequency, severity and distress of symptoms, as well as HRQoL prior to hospital admission (T1), within two weeks after hospital discharge (T2) and three months after hospital discharge (T3). The study uses an adapted version of the Memorial Symptom Assessment Scale and the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy - Bone Marrow Transplant.

Aims: Bulking agents are a minimally invasive treatment option for women with stress urinary incontinence (SUI) or stress-predominant mixed urinary incontinence (MUI). The aim of this study was to evaluate long-term efficacy and safety following treatment with Bulkamid as a primary procedure for SUI or stress-predominant MUI.

Methods: This was an Institutional Review Board-approved single-center retrospective study of female patients with SUI or stress-predominant MUI who had undergone injection with Bulkamid since 2005 and had completed 7 years of follow up.

The superheavy element with atomic number Z=117 was produced as an evaporation residue in the (48)Ca+(249)Bk fusion reaction at the gas-filled recoil separator TASCA at GSI Darmstadt, Germany. The radioactive decay of evaporation residues and their α-decay products was studied using a detection setup that allowed measuring decays of single atomic nuclei with half-lives between sub-μs and a few days. Two decay chains comprising seven α decays and a spontaneous fission each were identified and are assigned to the isotope (294)117 and its decay products.

Objectives: Femoroacetabular impingement is proposed to cause early osteoarthritis (OA) in the non-dysplastic hip. We previously reported on the prevalence of femoral deformities in a young asymptomatic male population. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of both femoral and acetabular types of impingement in young females.
