Introduction: Increase in adult orthodontic patients has increased the challenges faced by orthodontists, as they often present themselves with a varying degree of dental and peri-odontal compromise, in which the entire orthodontic treatment planning will revolve around maintenance and augmentation of supporting apparatus. One of the many factors to be considered during treating an adult patient is the height of alveolar bone and its effect on center of resistance (CRes).
Materials And Methods: Eight 3D analytical models of upper central incisor were designed using 'Solid Works Office Premium'.

Background: A tooth is said to be ectopic if it is malpositioned either due to congenital factors or displaced due to pathological lesions. The incidence of osteomyelitis of condyle has a rare occurrence, very few cases have been reported, either their etiology is unknown or is due to hematogenous spread or a tuberculous focus. This particular case may be a rare of its kind, as recent literature did not reveal any case where an ectopic mandibular third molar led to osteomyelitis of the condyle.

We compared extended nasolabial flaps and coronoidectomy with platysma myocutaneous muscle flaps in the management of 20 randomly selected patients with histologically confirmed oral submucous fibrosis. Ten patients were treated by release of fibrous bands, bilateral coronoidectomy, and reconstruction with an extended nasolabial flap (nasolabial group), and the other 10 by bilateral release of fibrous bands, coronoidectomy, and reconstruction with a platysma myocutaneous muscle flap (platysma group). In the nasolabial group the mean preoperative interincisal mouth opening was 12(range 3-14)mm, and in the platysma group it was 11 (3-13).
