KISS1 Gene Variations and Susceptibility to Idiopathic Recurrent Pregnancy Loss.

Reprod Sci

August 2023

Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Suzhou High Tech Zone People's Hospital, No. 95, Huashan Road, High Tech Zone, Suzhou, 215129, Jiangsu Province, China.

It is widely accepted that kisspeptin plays an integral role in the regulation of reproduction. Genetic variations in the KISS1 gene have been frequently reported to be linked to reproductive diseases, but there is still a lack of data on the association between KISS1 variations and female reproductive disorders. The present study aimed to examine the association of three missense SNPs in the KISS1 gene including rs12998, rs35431622, and rs4889 in association with idiopathic recurrent pregnancy loss (iRPL).

Background: Mechanical ventilation can lead to the severe impairment of the metabolic pathway of alveolar surfactants, inactivating alveolar surfactants and significantly reducing lung-chest compliance. The cardiopulmonary function of elderly patients usually reduced to a certain extent, and there are lung complications after surgical anesthesia, just like lung barotrauma caused by mechanical ventilation, atelectasis and postoperative hypoxemia.

Aim: To investigate the effects of different positive end expiratory pressures (PEEPs) and tidal volumes (VTs) on respiratory function, the degree of the inflammatory response and hemodynamic indexes in patients undergoing surgery under general anesthesia.

Background: This article aims to explore whether ursolic acid (UA) inhibits the progression of retinoblastoma (Rb) by regulating stearoyl-CoA desaturase (SCD).

Methods: The Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database was used to filter the chip, then the GEO2R software was used to analyze the microarray data (GSE97508, GSE24673, and GSE110811). Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was used to analyze the relationship between the expression level of SCD and the proliferation, migration, invasion, and inflammation in Rb patients.

Decreased vitamin D receptor protein expression is associated with progression and poor prognosis of colorectal cancer patients.

Int J Clin Exp Pathol

April 2020

Department of Pathology and Key Laboratory for Xinjiang Endemic and Ethnic Diseases, The First Affiliated Hospital, Shihezi University School of Medicine Shihezi, Xinjiang, China.

This study aimed to investigate vitamin D receptor (VDR) expression levels and evaluate their clinical significance in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC). VDR protein expression was validated by immunohistochemistry in 188 CRC tissues and 134 normal colorectal tissues. The associations between VDR expression and clinicopathologic characteristics, including prognostic outcomes, were analyzed.
