Peucedanum japonicum (PJ), a member of the Apiaceae family, is widely distributed and cultivated in East Asian countries for edible and functional foods. In this study, we compared the plastid genomes (plastomes) and 45S nuclear ribosomal DNA (45S nrDNA) simultaneously from 10 PJ collections. Plastome-based phylogenetic analysis showed that the PJ accessions were monophyletic within the genus Peucedanum.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate oral hygiene using quantitative light-induced fluorescence (QLF) and to compare its results with those of oral examination to determine the applicability of QLF technology for assessing oral health status and oral hygiene in intensive care unit (ICU) patients.
Materials And Methods: We analyzed oral health status, oral examination findings, oral hygiene evaluations using QLF technology, and dry mouth in a sample of 70 hospitalized ICU patients. The relationship between oral hygiene assessments using QLF technology and oral examinations was analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficients.

Metal electrode deposition is universally adopted in the community for optoelectronic device fabrication, inducing hybridization at electrode interfaces, and allows efficient extraction or injection of photocarriers. However, hybridization-induced midgap states increase photocarrier recombination pathways, creating a paradoxical trade-off. Here, we discovered that efficient photocarrier extraction and a long photocarrier lifetime can be achieved simultaneously in MoS/van der Waals Au contact, minimizing photocarrier loss at the interface.

In this study, a tetradentate Pt(II) complex designed to have -heterocyclic carbene ligands modified with an anchor-shaped 2,6-diisopropylphenyl (dip) group is described to enhance molecular rigidity for narrow emission and high efficiency. The tetradentate ligand with the dip group significantly hinders steric interactions and restricts π-conjugation from benzocarbene, leading to shallow lowest unoccupied molecular orbital levels and a consequent reduction in the triplet metal-to-ligand charge transfer character. These structural modifications result in narrow emission spectra and enhanced efficiency for blue organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) over wide doping concentration ranges.
