Objective: The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically altered the medical landscape. Various strategies have been employed to preserve hospital beds, personal protective equipment, and other resources to accommodate the surges of COVID-19 positive patients, hospital overcapacities, and staffing shortages. This has had a dramatic effect on vascular surgical practice.

Type B lactic acidosis can occur secondary to several factors, including thiamine deficiency, and is not as common as type A. Recognizing thiamine deficiency-associated lactic acidosis is challenging because serum thiamine concentrations are not routinely obtained, and a thorough and specific history is necessary for clinicians to suspect thiamine deficiency as a root cause. Furthermore, the appropriate dose and duration of thiamine treatment are not well defined.

Purpose: Intradetrusor onabotulinum toxin A (BTX-A) has been demonstrated to be an effective treatment option for overactive bladder (OAB). However, concerns about frailty and frequent injections may deter its use in the elderly. This study aims to assess the safety, efficacy, and treatment duration of BTX-A in managing OAB in elderly women.

Background: Hypotension is a common problem in the emergency department (ED) and intensive care unit (ICU) and can increase risk for poor outcomes. Many EDs/ICUs utilize epinephrine and phenylephrine to treat hypotension and these medications are most often administered as a continuous infusion (CI). Push-dose (PD) is the administration of small medication doses as intermittent intravenous pushes (IVPs).

THOC6 facilitates the formation of the Transcription Export complex (TREX) tetramer, composed of four THO monomers. The TREX tetramer supports mammalian mRNA processing that is distinct from yeast TREX dimer functions.

Background: To measure the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the management of patients with carotid artery stenosis.
Methods: We prospectively collected data from 25 centers (19 centers in the United States and 6 centers internationally) on postponed carotid artery operations between March 2020 and January 2022. We describe the characteristics of these patients and their planned operations, along with outcomes including mortality and neurological deterioration during the period of operative delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features that could help differen-tiate the bone destruction due to persistent/recurrent spine infection from worsening bone destruction due to mechanical factors, which could help obviate the need for repeat spine biopsy.
Material And Methods: A retrospective study was performed on selected subjects who were more than 18 years of age, were diagnosed with infectious spondylodiscitis, underwent at least 2 spinal interventions for the diagnosis at the same level, and had MRI prior to each image-guided intervention. Both MRI studies were analysed for vertebral body changes, paravertebral collections, epidural thickening and collections, bone marrow signal changes, loss of vertebral body height, abnormal signal in intervertebral disc, and loss of disc height.

Introduction: Spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma (SSEH) can result from various etiologies with a variable degree of neurological deficits. Here, we describe a rare case of SEH secondary to immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) in a child and review the literature of SSEH caused by ITP.
Case Report: A 9-year-old female who presented with rapid neurological decline, including bowel and bladder incontinence and paraparesis.
