Predicting Bitcoin prices is crucial because they reflect trends in the overall cryptocurrency market. Owing to the market's short history and high price volatility, previous research has focused on the factors influencing Bitcoin price fluctuations. Although previous studies used sentiment analysis or diversified input features, this study's novelty lies in its utilization of data classified into more than five major categories.

Objectives: This study aimed to assess the impact of the reimbursement regulation of medical devices (Regulation), introduced by the National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA) in 2013, on patients' access to innovative medical devices in Taiwan.
Methods: Analysis of the amount of time needed from application for NHIA reimbursement for new medical devices to receiving the decision from NHIA was done using the nonreimbursement product list featured on the NHIA website. Additionally, Welch analysis of variance was used to compare the amount of time it took from application to NHIA with reimbursement decisions made by the NHIA for different nonreimbursement code categories.

Objectives: The introduction of digital health technologies (DHTs) that have the potential to improve health outcomes and lower the costs of healthcare services has seen an explosion in recent years. Indeed, the expectation that these innovative technologies can ultimately fill a gap in the patient-healthcare provider model of care with the hope of bending the continuously increasing healthcare expenditure curve has not yet been realized in many countries including South Korea (from herein referred to as Korea). We examine reimbursement coverage decision making status for DHTs in South Korea.

Solar-driven interfacial vaporization by localizing solar-thermal energy conversion to the air-water interface has attracted tremendous attention. In the process of converting solar energy into heat energy, photothermal materials play an essential role. Herein, a flexible solar-thermal material di-cyan substituted 5,12-dibutylquinacridone (DCN-4CQA)@Paper was developed by coating photothermal quinacridone derivatives on the cellulose paper.

In this article, the operational characteristics of coverage with evidence development (CED) programs in Asia-Pacific regions, focusing on two countries-Japan and South Korea-are reviewed. Both countries recommended the introduction of CED to overcome the barrier of lack of robust clinical evidence in the early stages of the introduction of a medical technology. However, each country has a unique approach to CED implementation that reflects the differences in establishment and healthcare and policy environments.

Monitoring regional antibiotic resistance patterns of uropathogens are important for deciding suitable empirical antibiotics for urinary tract infections (UTIs) in children. This study aimed to investigate regional differences in antimicrobial susceptibility patterns of and spp. in children below 24 months old, diagnosed with their first episode of UTI, and to find factors associated with an increased risk for UTI caused by extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing uropathogens.

This paper proposes dual-functional sheets (DFSs) that simultaneously have high thermal conductivity (TC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) absorbing properties, making them suitable for use in mobile electronics. By adopting a simple but highly efficient dry process for manufacturing core-shell structured fillers (CSSFs) and formulating a close-packed filler composition, the DFSs show high performance, TC of 5.1 W m K, and a -4 dB inter-decoupling ratio (IDR) at a 1 GHz frequency.

Activation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) serves as a key factor in the proliferation and invasion of breast cancer cells and is a potential therapeutic target for breast cancer. However, the mechanisms underlying this effect remain largely unknown. Heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) is induced and overexpressed in various cancers and is associated with features of tumor aggressiveness.

Unlabelled: Background and ObjectivesTimely access to innovative medical technologies driven by accelerated patient access pathways can substantially improve the health outcomes of patients who often have few therapeutic alternatives. We analyzed lead-times for the medical procedure reimbursement coverage process undertaken in South Korea from 2014 to 2017, which is considered one of the most important factors contributing to delays in patient access to new medical technologies.
Methods: This analysis was performed using the open datasets source of "Medical Procedure Expert Evaluation Committee (MPEEC)" meeting results and medical procedure coverage application information published on the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service Web site.

In this study, an inductively coupled plasma (ICP)-enhanced reactive sputter deposition system with a rectangular target was developed as a linear plasma source for roll-to-roll deposition processes. The longitudinal distribution of the film thickness indicated the feasibility of uniformity control via the control of the power deposition profile of the assisted ICPs. The characteristics of Si films were investigated in terms of the film thickness uniformity and film crystallinity.

The aim of this study was to test the clinical efficacy of TissueGene-C (TG-C), a cell and gene therapeutic for osteoarthritis consisting of non-transformed and transduced chondrocytes (3:1) retrovirally transduced to overexpress transforming growth factor-β1. A total of 163 Kellgren-Lawrence grade 3 patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomly assigned to receive intra-articular TG-C or placebo. Primary efficacy measures included criteria for subjective assessment by International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) and pain severity by Visual Analog Scale (VAS) for 52 weeks.

Background: Everolimus-eluting stents (EES) have equivalent short-term angiographic and clinical outcomes to sirolimus-eluting stents (SES), but EES may be superior to SES with regard to long-term clinical safety. We report the 3-year clinical outcomes of EES and SES from the prospective EXCELLENT Randomized Trial (NCT00698607).
Methods and results: We randomly assigned 1,443 patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention 3:1 to receive EES and SES, respectively.

New chemotherapeutic agents with novel mechanisms of action are urgently required to combat the challenge imposed by the emergence of drug-resistant mycobacteria. In this study, a phenotypic whole-cell screen identified 5-nitro-1,10-phenanthroline (5NP) as a lead compound. 5NP-resistant isolates harbored mutations that were mapped to and were also resistant to the bicyclic nitroimidazole PA-824.

Clinical guidelines for interstitial cystitis and hypersensitive bladder have been updated as of 2015. The guidelines define interstitial cystitis by the presence of hypersensitive bladder symptoms (discomfort, pressure or pain in the bladder usually associated with urinary frequency and nocturia) and bladder pathology, after excluding other diseases explaining symptoms. Interstitial cystitis is further classified by bladder pathology; either Hunner type interstitial cystitis with Hunner lesions or non-Hunner type interstitial cystitis with mucosal bleeding after distension in the absence of Hunner lesions.

Myristoylated alanine-rich C kinase substrate-like 1 (MARCKSL1) plays a pivotal role in the regulation of apoptosis and has been shown to maintain antitumor and metastasis-suppressive properties. In the present study, we examined the effects of MARCKSL1 as a novel anti-angiogenic agent on the inhibition of angiogenesis-mediated cell migration. MARCKSL1 also reduced vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC) proliferation, as well as capillary-like tubular structure formation in vitro.
