Immunotherapy for prostate cancer (PCa) faces serious challenges. Therefore, the co-inhibitory receptors that regulate T cell function of PCa must be elucidated. Here we identified that the inhibitory receptor LAG3 was significantly induced in T cells from PCa patients.

Cell survival is based on the stability of intracellular state. It was well known that biochemical reactions in cells require specific intracellular environments, such as pH and calcium concentration. While the mechanism of stabilizing the intracellular environment is complex and far from clear.

Our previous study revealed PAHs' wide occurrence in corals from multiple coral reef regions (CRRs) in the South China Sea. However, little is known about their occurrence, distribution, fate, and sources in the ambient environment of these CRRs. This study aimed to resolve these research gaps.

It remains a significant challenge for fast and high-throughput detection of trace analytes in complex samples with surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) strategy due to the severe interference from matrices. In this work, a miniaturized array gas membrane separation (AGMS) device coupled with SERS was designed and drew up to eliminate matrix influence and improve the reproducibility of SERS signal during real sample analysis. The design of miniaturized AGMS tube was optimized based on quantitative calculation of its air permeability by computational fluid dynamics simulation.

Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) contribute to both normal and pathological tissue remodeling. They act as regulatory molecules by working in enzyme cascades as well as processing matrix proteins, cytokines, growth factors and adhesion molecules to generate fragments with biological effects. So MMPs could play distrinct roles in the process of pathogen infection.

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) imparts a dual effect on multicellular organisms, wherein high levels are usually harmful, and low levels could facilitate in combating pathogenic microorganisms; therefore, the regulation of ROS production is critical. Previous studies have suggested that ROS contributes to resistance to the white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) or Vibrio alginolyticus in Litopenaeus vannamei. However, the regulation of ROS metabolism in L.

Coagulation and nutrition play important roles in cancer progression. We aim to investigate the impact of the fibrinogen/albumin ratio(FAR) in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients. We retrospectively analyzed 1135 patients with radical esophagectomy for ESCC from January 2008 to December 2010 in our center.

Introduction: Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is an important treatment for infertility. IUI combined with controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) is widely used because of the higher pregnancy rates compared to IUI cycles without COS.
Material And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed a single center data from 458 patients underwent the first IUI cycle and had only 1 mature follicle from May 2009 to January 20144.
