In patients with advanced intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC), clinical outcomes remain unsatisfactory despite the recommended first-line treatment of gemcitabine with cisplatin and durvalumab (GCD). We recently reported that hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) in combination with lenvatinib and durvalumab (HLD) exhibited promising antitumor activity and manageable adverse events in patients with unresectable ICC. Here, we aimed to compare HLD with GCD in patients with advanced ICC.

This study reports the synthesis and photophysical analysis of three isomeric compounds, namely 3Fmo, 3Fmm, and 3Fmp, which were engineered using carbazole as the electron donor, phthalimide as the electron acceptor, and a benzene ring as the bridging moiety. Among these, 3Fmm was distinguished by its ability to exhibit immediate room-temperature white phosphorescence following the cessation of UV illumination, whereas 3Fmo and 3Fmp demonstrated TADF properties. Crystallographic analysis revealed unique intermolecular π-π stacking interactions within 3Fmm, absent in the other two isomers.

In this study, we developed a D-A type imide derivative based on 1,8-naphthalimide, NI-mPCz, which exhibited outstanding thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) properties. Additionally, it demonstrates characteristics of piezochromic and thermochromic luminescence. The thermochromic luminescence observed is attributed to crystalline transformations occurring during the heating process, as evidenced by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and microscopic examinations.

Thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) molecules have emerged as a promising class of third-generation organic light-emitting diode (OLED) emitters that can achieve 100% internal quantum efficiency without the use of noble metals. However, the design of high-efficiency red TADF materials has been challenging due to limitations imposed by the energy-gap law. To overcome this challenge, two new TADF emitters, namely, 6-(4-(diphenylamino)phenyl)-2-phenyl-1-benzo[]isoquinoline-1,3(2)-dione (NI-TPA) and 6-(10-phenothiazin-10-yl)-2-phenyl-1-benzo[]-isoquinoline-1,3(2)-dione (NI-Pz), have been synthesized and characterized.

In the REGONIVO study, regorafenib combined with nivolumab was effective in the treatment of microsatellite stable (MSS) metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), which indicated anti-angiogenic drugs may enhance the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors. Therefore, we designed a single-arm, single-center, open-label, phase II trial to determine the toxicity and efficacy of SHR-1210 (an anti-PD-1 antibody) plus apatinib in MSS mCRC. The sample size was estimated using a Simon Optimum two-stage design.

Background: Cancer metastasis is the major reason for cancer-related deaths, but the mechanism of cancer metastasis still unclear. Adrenomedullin (ADM), a peptide hormone, functions as a local paracrine and autocrine mediator with multiple biological activities, such as angiogenesis, cell proliferation, and anti-inflammation. However, the expression and potential function of ADM in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) remain unclear.
