Background: Optimal glycemic control is necessary to prevent cardiovascular events in patients with type 2 diabetes. The positive impact of sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) on cardiovascular events and mortality in these patients has been demonstrated by previous studies although the mechanism is unclear.
Aims: We aimed to compare the influence of SGLT2i on left ventricular remodeling and strain in diabetic patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) and without CAD during 6-month follow-up.

Tissue structure in the infarct and remote zone myocardium post-acute myocardial infarction (MI) may offer prognostic information concerning left ventricular remodeling. We aimed to identify or establish a relationship between adverse remodeling (AR) and changes (Δ) in T1, T2 mapping and extracellular volume (ECV) in post MI periods. Fifty-four MI patients underwent 3 Tesla CMR performed 2 weeks (acute phase) and 6 months post-MI.

Introduction: The present study aimed to evaluate the functional and radiological outcomes of AO type monolateral external fixator (AO-EF) and Ilizarov type external fixator (I-EF) in definitive fixation of tibial shaft fractures due to gunshot injury.
Hypothesis: Patients undergoing I-EF would have faster fracture healing with the help of early weight-bearing and the functional scores would be better compared to AO-EF.
Material And Methods: The study consisted of 76 (67M, 9F) patients who underwent surgery between 2010 and 2016 for tibial shaft fracture due to low-velocity gunshot injury (LVGI).

Background: Despite the association of fibrinogen-to-albumin ratio (FAR) with the extent, severity, and complexity of coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and stable CAD, no studies to date have specifically addressed this issue in patients with non-STEMI (NSTEMI).
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate whether a relationship exists between FAR and the SYNergy between Percutaneous Coronary Intervention with TAXus (SYNTAX) score in patients with NSTEMI.
Methods: In this prospective cross-sectional study, 330 patients with NSTEMI who had undergone coronary angiography in an academic medical center were divided into two groups: those with an intermediate/high (≥23) SYNTAX score (241 patients) and those with a low SYNTAX score < 23 (89 patients).
