Objectives: An analytical protocol based on isotope dilution liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (ID-LC-MS/MS), which includes a peptide-based calibration strategy, was developed and validated for the determination of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) levels in clinical samples. Additionally, the developed method was compared with a protein-based calibration strategy, using cTnI serving as a model for low-abundant proteins. This study aims to systematically review the existing literature and perform a meta-analysis to evaluate the prevalence of hyponatremia among Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS) patients and its relationship with disease prognosis. We comprehensively searched PubMed, Embase, Medline, Web of Science, Science Direct, and the Cochrane Library databases from 1995 to 2024 for observational studies on the prevalence of hyponatremia in GBS. The meta-analysis followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA 2020) guidelines.

Methods: The study was a multicenter, randomized controlled study conducted at two senior living facilities with individuals aged 65 and above whose cardiorespiratory and musculoskeletal conditions are suitable for moderate exercise and who have normal cognition levels. Methods: This is a prospective, single-center, methodological study. In our study, we recorded the demographic characteristics, Glasgow Coma Scale, and the integrated pulmonary index of 90 patients with respiratory failure who were followed up in the emergency department between June 1, 2019 and September 1, 2019, and we compared the results of Glasgow Coma Scale and integrated pulmonary index in making the endotracheal intubation decision.
