Introduction: Nonspecific low back pain (NSLBP) is one of the most common symptoms which can happen all ages and it accounts for the majority of low back pain (LBP). Current clinical studies have shown that rest, physical therapy, acupuncture (including small needle scalpel) and non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs are effective treatments for NSLBP. However, the safety of small needle scalpel for treatment of NSLBP was reported rarely.

The objective of this study is to investigate the role of IL-38 in osteoarthritis (OA). IL-38 levels in serum and synovial fluid (SF) of patients with OA were examined to identify the correlation between IL-38 expression and OA activity and to determine its anti-inflammatory effects in IL-1β-induced chondrocytes. A total of 75 patients with OA who underwent joint replacement surgery and 25 age- and sex-matched healthy volunteers were recruited.

Clinical experience of biliary T tube of immobilization of peri-pin membrane in tibial Gustilo III fracture treated with vacuum sealant drainage combined with an external fixator.

Objective: To determine the effects of an improved method of peri-pin membrane immobilization in tibial Gustilo type III fracture treated with vacuum sealant drainage (VSD) combined with an external fixator.

Method: A biliary T tube of suitable size and type was cut into a certain long arm and cross arm which wrapping around a pin to improving traditional peri-pin VSD method. Eighty-six cases of Gustilo type III tibial fracture admitted from January 2016 to December 2019 were prospectively treated, of which 43 cases were treated using a traditional method of VSD (Traditional group) and 43 cases in which VSD treatment was enhanced (Improved group).

Factors Associated With Prolonged Viral Shedding in Patients With Avian Influenza A(H7N9) Virus Infection.

Background: Data are limited on the impact of neuraminidase inhibitor (NAI) treatment on avian influenza A(H7N9) virus RNA shedding.

Methods: In this multicenter, retrospective study, data were collected from adults hospitalized with A(H7N9) infection during 2013-2017 in China. We compared clinical features and A(H7N9) shedding among patients with different NAI doses and combination therapies and evaluated factors associated with A(H7N9) shedding, using Cox proportional hazards regression.
