Ovarian neoplasms constitute 1% of childhood tumors. The majority of them are teratomas and usually are asymptomatic or present with paraneoplastic syndromes. Our case is a 16-year-old female who presented with chronic abdominal pain, virilization and oligomenorrhea and found to have a complex cystic mass of the left ovary, more likely cystic teratoma on abdomen and pelvis CT.

Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in pediatrics has rapidly progressed in recent years; however, there continues to be considerable variation in anticoagulation practices. In 2016, we implemented a standardized anticoagulation protocol in effort to reduce clotting and bleeding complications. A single-center retrospective analysis of pediatric patients requiring ECMO between 2014 and 2018 was performed.

High-level cervical spinal cord injury (SCI) frequently leads to the development of severe sinus bradycardia and asystole. Conventionally, owing to their chronotropic effects, medical management has largely relied on the use of atropine and/or infusion of pressors such as epinephrine or dopamine as the first-line treatment. However, for severe symptomatic events refractory to medical therapy, cardiac pacemaker implantation may be required.

Objectives: To update the American Academy of Pediatrics and Society of Critical Care Medicine's 2004 Guidelines and levels of care for PICU.
Design: A task force was appointed by the American College of Critical Care Medicine to follow a standardized and systematic review of the literature using an evidence-based approach. The 2004 Admission, Discharge and Triage Guidelines served as the starting point, and searches in Medline (Ovid), Embase (Ovid), and PubMed resulted in 329 articles published from 2004 to 2016.

Unlabelled: Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) due to 11β-hydroxylase deficiency (11BOHD) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder and the second most common form of CAH.
Aim: To investigate genotype-phenotype correlation and to evaluate clinical characteristics and long-term outcomes of patients with 11BOHD.
Methods: A total of 28 patients (n = 14, 46,XX; n = 14, 46,XY) with classical 11BOHD from 25 unrelated families were included in this study.
Vancomycin is a key antibiotic used in the treatment of multiple conditions including infections associated with cystic fibrosis and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. The present study sought to develop a model based on empirical evidence of optimal vancomycin dose as judged by clinical observations that could accelerate the achievement of desired trough level in children with cystic fibrosis. Transformations of dose and trough were used to arrive at regression models with excellent fit for dose based on weight or age for a target trough.
