Mineral extraction areas represent an environmental, social, and also a food sovereignty challenge for several countries. Indigenous Peoples and local communities (IPLC) are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of mining activities, particularly those that affect their lands and waters. At the global level, scientific evidence on the impacts of mining on the food sovereignty of IPLC is meagre, scattered, and fragmented across disciplines and geographic regions.

Introduction And Hypothesis: Studies have shown that athletes have three times increased risk of urinary incontinence compared to non-athletes, in addition to anal incontinence and sexual dysfunction (SD). This study aimed to assess the sexual and pelvic floor muscle (PFM) functions and to compare these variables among female athlete runners with and without SD and to identify predictive factors that may be associated with sexual function among the athletes.
Methods: Cross-sectional study including 90 female runners, who ran ≥ 20 km/week for at least 6 months, had had sexual intercourse in the last 4 weeks and were > 18 years old.

In this work, cellulose acetate films were prepared with the incorporation of different carotenoids (lycopene, norbixin, and zeaxanthin). The effect of adding these natural antioxidants was evaluated through stability during storage under controlled conditions (temperature and light), degradation rate coefficient, release in food simulants and protective effect on oxidation of vitamin B. During storage at 25 °C or 40 °C the light showed a greater effect on the stability of the carotenoids, with significant increase in reaction constants (k) and decrease in half-life (t).
