Guidelines recommend percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) for larger renal stones, but advances in flexible ureteroscopy (f-URS) with a tip-bendable suction ureteral access sheath (S-UAS) have prompted further investigation. Non-covalent interactions, including the coordination of an organolithium reagent by a directing group and the steric hindrance from substituents, play a crucial role in determining the selectivity of metalation reactions. Here, we demonstrate the effective utilization of steric interactions for flipping the lithiation of 4-dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP). Introduction of a MeSi substituent to the position 1 of DMAP or simple complexation with t-BuLi allows selective C3-lithiation, due to the steric hindrance of a C2-H bond by the bulky moiety at the pyridine nitrogen.

Methods: In the phase 3 KEYLYNK-006 trial (NCT03976323), eligible adults with previously untreated metastatic nonsquamous NSCLC without targetable genetic alterations who had complete response (CR), partial response (PR), or stable disease (SD) following induction therapy with 4 cycles of pembrolizumab 200 mg Q3W, pemetrexed 500 mg/m , and carboplatin AUC5 or cisplatin 75 mg/m were randomized 1:1 to olaparib 300 mg orally twice daily or pemetrexed Q3W, both given with ≤31 cycles of pembrolizumab Q3W. Calciprotein particles (CPPs) are essential circulating scavengers of excessive Ca and PO ions, representing a vehicle that removes them from the human body and precludes extraskeletal calcification. Background: Citrullination represents a post-translational modification primarily mediated by peptidylarginine deiminase (PADI) 2 and 4 and resulting in the conversion of positively charged peptidylarginine to neutrally charged peptidylcitrulline. Molecular consequences of citrullination include the generation of neoepitopes which provoke the production of autoantibodies implicated in the development of autoimmune diseases. As citrullination initiates, promotes, and is enhanced by aseptic inflammation which plays a pivotal role in atherosclerosis, we proposed that citrullination might accompany the development of atherosclerotic vascular disease.
