Background: Thallium-201 single-photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography (SPECT/CT) brain scan is an imaging modality which can be done to differentiate between malignant and nonmalignant lesions among patients with nonconclusive findings on conventional neuroimaging. This study describes the results of thallium-201 SPECT/CT brain imaging and relate it to histopathologic and/or clinical findings and evaluate the value of thallium-201 SPECT/CT brain imaging in differentiating malignant from nonmalignant lesions.
Methods: This is a retrospective case series study of 10 patients with cerebral lesions who underwent thallium-201 SPECT/CT brain imaging in a hospital in the Philippines from 2010 to 2021.

Dubbed the "inequality virus", coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has unveiled and magnified many of the global society's long-standing inequalities and health inequities. This work brings together the phenomena of increased inequality and health inequities felt by the poor and young working class of the Philippines and how they interact negatively with existing vaccine policies. The poor and the young were more likely to have experienced employment disruptions with limited access to technologies that allowed for teleworking.

Objectives: Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is part of the multimodality treatment for patients with cancer. The objective of this study is to determine factors which influence overall survival (OS) of Filipino patients who underwent SRS for metastatic tumors of the spine.
Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of a cohort of Filipino patients treated with spine SRS for metastatic tumors in a single institution.

Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a non-invasive treatment option for psychiatric conditions, including catatonia. Our patient is a 30-year-old Filipino female admitted due to mutism, motor, and behavioral changes. Laboratory tests, cranial magnetic resonance imaging, electroencephalogram and cerebrospinal fluid analysis were unremarkable.

Most Parkinson's disease patients will receive levodopa therapy, and of these, the majority will develop some levodopa-induced complications. For many patients, the first complication to develop is the decline in the duration of therapeutic benefit of each levodopa dose, a phenomenon commonly termed 'wearing-off'. There is already extensive literature documenting the epidemiology and management of wearing-off in Parkinson's disease patients of western descent.

Objective: To configure and validate a novel prostate disease nomogram providing prostate biopsy outcome probabilities from a prospective study correlating clinical indicators and diagnostic parameters among Filipino adult male with elevated serum total prostate specific antigen (PSA) level.
Methods: All men with an elevated serum total PSA underwent initial prostate biopsy at our institution from January 2011 to August 2014 were included. Clinical indicators, diagnostic parameters, which include PSA level and PSA-derivatives, were collected as predictive factors for biopsy outcome.
