Clitoral metastasis from squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix on F-FDG PET/CT and MRI.

Metastasis to the clitoris is extremely rare. Here, we report a highly unusual case of high-grade squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix metastasizing to the clitoris a year following surgery and chemoradiotherapy. The patient presented with a painless clitoral mass identified through physical examination.

Viral Myocarditis.

In recent years, more young patients are being admitted to hospitals with the diagnosis of heart failure secondary to myocarditis; many of these patients will progress to needing a heart transplant. Research shows that heart failure is increasing in prevalence and incidence and is expected to have 46% increases in prevalence by 2030, with hypertension, diabetes, and obesity pointed as risk factors (Cardiac Fail Rev. 2017;3(1):7-11).

Recently, the number of available noninvasive cardiac diagnostic tests has increased substantially. Nurses should be knowledgeable about available noninvasive cardiac diagnostic testing.

Evaluation of tobacco cessation classes aimed at hospital staff nurses.

Purpose/objectives: to evaluate a three-hour smoking cessation program and its effect on nurse knowledge, counseling behaviors, and confidence in counseling behaviors.

Design: program evaluation.

Setting: a Magnet-designated, 500-bed community hospital in Southern California.
