This prospective single-institutional clinical trial sought to assess the safety and feasibility of laparoscopic benign ovarian cyst enucleation with a novel robotic-assisted laparoscopic system. Here we report a series of 10 patients treated using the Telelap ALF-X system in the first clinical application on patients at the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Rome. The primary inclusion criterion was the presence of monolateral ovarian cyst without a preoperative assessment suspicious for malignancy.

Objective: The aim of this study is to analyze the safety, adequacy, perioperative and survival figures in a large series of laparoscopic staging of patients with apparent early stage ovarian malignancies (ESOM).
Patients And Methods: Retrospective data from seven gynecologic oncology service databases were searched for ESOM patients undergoing immediate laparoscopic staging or delayed laparoscopic staging after an incidental diagnosis of ESOM. Between May 2000 and February 2014, 300 patients were selected: 150 had been submitted to immediate laparoscopic staging (Group 1), while 150 had undergone delayed laparoscopic staging (Group 2) of ESOM.

Objective: The objective of the study was to analyze in a large series of unresectable advanced ovarian cancer (AOC) patients the prognostic role of pathological response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT).
Study Design: We retrospectively evaluated 322 unresectable AOC patients treated with NACT followed by interval debulking surgery (IDS). Pathological response was classified as follows: complete (cPR) in the absence of residual disease, microscopic (microPR) in the presence of microscopic tumor foci (maximum diameter ≤3 mm), and macroscopic (macroPR) when macroscopic residual disease was detected.

Objective: To evaluate the prognostic impact of routinely use of staging laparoscopy (S-LPS) in patients with primary advanced epithelial ovarian cancer (AEOC).
Methods: All women were submitted to S-LPS before receiving primary debulking surgery (PDS) or neoadjuvant treatment (NACT). The surgical and survival outcome were evaluated by univariate and multivariate analysis.
