The work proposes a computer-based diagnosis method (CBDM) to delineate and assess the corpus callosum (CC) segment from the 2-dimensional (2D) brain magnetic resonance images (MRI). The proposed CBDM consists of two parts: (1) preprocessing and (2) postprocessing sections. The preprocessing tools have a multithreshold technique with the chaotic cuckoo search (CCS) algorithm and a preferred threshold procedure.

Due to the development in science field which gives not only benefit but also introducesundesirable pollution to the environment. This pollution is due to poor discharge activities of industrial effluents into the soil and water bodies, surface run off from fields of agricultural lands, dumping of untreated wastes by municipalities, and mining activites, which deteriorates the cardinal virtue of our environment and causes menace to human health and life. Heavy metal(s), a natural constituent on earth's crust and economic important mineral, due to its recalcitrant effects creates heavy metal pollution which affects food chain and also reduces the quality of water.

Water is a basic and significant asset for living beings. Water assets are progressively diminishing due to huge populace development, industrial activities, urbanization and rural exercises. Few heavy metals include zinc, copper, lead, nickel, cadmium and so forth can easily transfer into the water system either direct or indirect activities of electroplating, mining, tannery, painting, fertilizer industries and so forth.

Children with autism spectrum disorder have impairments in emotional processing which leads to the inability in recognizing facial expressions. Since emotion is a vital criterion for having fine socialisation, it is incredibly important for the autistic children to recognise emotions. In our study, we have chosen the facial skin temperature as a biomarker to measure emotions.

Arsenic liberation and accumulation in the groundwater environment are both affected by the presence of primary ions and soluble organic matter. The most important influencing role in the co-occurrence is caused by human activity, which includes logging, agricultural runoff stream, food, tobacco, and fertilizers. Furthermore, it covers a wide range of developed and emerging technologies for removing arsenic impurities from the ecosystem, including adsorption, ion exchangers, bio sorption, coagulation and flocculation, membrane technology and electrochemical methods.

Effective analysis of breast thermography needs an accurate segmentation of the inflamed region in Infrared Breast Thermal Images (IBTI) which helps in the diagnosis of breast cancer. However, IBTI suffers from intensity inhomogeneity, overlapping regions of interest, poor contrast, and low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) due to the imperfect image acquisition process. To mitigate this, this work proposes an enhanced segmentation of the inflamed Region of Interest (ROI) using an active contour method driven by the multiscale local and global fitted image (MLGFI) model.

Emerging pollutants in the marine ecosystem, as well as their possible impact on live species, have become a rising cause of worry. A traditional wastewater treatment plants alone are not successful in eliminating such massive contaminant groups and therefore additional water treatment is required which is to be cost effective. Since standard primary and secondary treatment plants are unsuccessful at eliminating or degrading these harmful chemicals, a cost-effective tertiary treatment approach is proposed.

The antibacterial and antifungal effects of non-functionalized and surface-functionalized MnO nanoparticles were comparatively analyzed to reason out the potential changes in antimicrobial activities due to functionalization with 5-amino-2-mercapto benzimidazole (AMB) molecule. The surface functionalization of MnO nanoparticles with AMB molecule was confirmed by the XRD result, which shows the shift in 2 values with noticeable peaks. The surface morphology and functionalization of MnO nanoparticles were additionally confirmed by HR-SEM and EDAX studies.

Wastewater is water that has already been contaminated by domestic, industrial and commercial activity that needs to be treated before it could be discharged into some other water bodies to avoid even more groundwater contamination supplies. It consists of various contaminants like heavy metals, organic pollutants, inorganic pollutants and Emerging contaminants. Research has been doing on all types of contaminates more than a decade, but this emerging contaminants is the contaminants which arises mostly from pharmaceuticals, personal care products, hormones and fertilizer industries.
