Organophosphate (OP) poisoning is the most common poisoning in India, accounting for almost half of the hospital admissions due to poisoning. Delayed neuropathy is initiated by an attack on a nervous tissue esterase. Although uncommon, delayed neurotoxicity has been consistently reported in literature.
