Background: Median maxillary labial frenum (MMLF) appears as a fold of mucous membrane extending from the lining of the mucous membrane of the lips towards the crest of the alveolar ridge on the labial surface. MMLF can demonstrate certain variations in their shape, size and position, both among individuals and within the same individual at different ages. Many clinicians, not being aware of the normal variations of median maxillary labial frenum misinterpret them as pathological entities.

Introduction: Reliable profound mandibular block anesthesia is questionable when depositing the anesthetic solution at the lingula. The Gow-Gates technique is an useful alternative to the classical inferior alveolar nerve block and the incidence of unsuccessful anesthesia may be as high as classical technique. The aim of this study is to compare the clinical efficacy, degree of patient acceptability, advantages, disadvantages and limitations of the classical and Gow-Gates techniques for providing anesthesia in patients undergoing bilateral symmetrical surgical removal of impacted mandibular third molar under local anesthesia.

Aim: To evaluate the efficacy of platelet rich fibrin (PRF) with or without bone graft [demineralized bone matrix (DBM) graft] in the treatment of intrabony defects based on clinical and radiographic parameters.
Materials And Methods: Thirty six intrabony defects in 36 patients were randomly divided into three different groups and were treated with group A (PRF with DBM) or group B (PRF alone) or group C [open flap debridement (OFD)]. Clinical parameters such as plaque index (PI), gingival index (GI), probing depth (PD), relative attachment level (RAL), and gingival recession (GR) were assessed at baseline and 9 months postoperatively; radiographic parameters such as linear bone growth (LBG) and percentage in bone fill (%BF) were calculated by using the image analysis software.

Following anti-retroviral therapy (ART) or highly active antiretroviral therapy, there is an increased response to latent infections such as herpes zoster, which may lead to their reactivation. This is a result of improved immunity brought about by ART, also termed immune recovery syndrome. A 75-year-old male patient arrived at our institute with widespread vesicles and scabs on the right half of his face and oral cavity, suggesting the involvement of the trigeminal nerve.

Introduction: Though we are in 21(st) century with nano technology & tissue printing, there still exist many lacunae in the field of diagnosis. Not much is known about prognostic markers till now from literature to assess potentially malignant lesions. Lesions so called potentially malignant can be termed only after clinical & malignant changes have been developed and there are no means of predicting with certainty the risk of cancerous transformation.
