A Rare Case of Postpartum Paraplegia: A Case Report.

In this case report, a 27-year-old woman who had pre-eclampsia in the past and had a cesarean section as a result of the condition presents with an uncommon and difficult form of postpartum paraplegia. Pyrexia of unknown origin (PUO) is a prolonged fever lasting several weeks without an identifiable cause despite extensive medical evaluation. Many a time, its cause remains largely unknown even after collecting a detailed medical history, conducting comprehensive physical assessments, and performing various standard laboratory tests and imaging procedures. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study using the nationwide inpatient sample (NIS 2018-2019). We included 3,405 pediatric inpatients (age 6-17 years) with a primary discharge diagnosis of anti-NMDAR encephalitis.

A 45-year-old male developed a skin eruption after starting Desvenlafaxine for depressive symptoms associated with schizophreniform disorder. The patient developed a rash on the hand, hyperpigmentation, and itching, which resolved after discontinuing the medication. The Naranjo score suggested a probable link between desvenlafaxine and the skin reaction.
