Demonstration of circular shunt in fetal Ebstein anomaly.

Ebstein's anomaly was diagnosed in a fetus at 24 weeks of gestation. There was significant cardiomegaly and severe tricuspid regurgitation (TR). There was functional pulmonary atresia with severe pulmonary regurgitation (PR) and this was causing a circular shunt.

Percutaneous closure of patent ductus arteriosus in children: Immediate and short-term changes in left ventricular systolic and diastolic function.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of percutaneous closure of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) on left ventricular (LV) systolic and diastolic function in children.

Background: Limited studies are available on alteration in LV hemodynamics, especially diastolic function, after PDA closure.

Methods: Thirty-two consecutive children with isolated PDA treated by trans-catheter closure were studied.

Postal follow up of patients with epilepsy.

Background: Epilepsy services in India are mostly located in urban areas and are often overcrowded. It is difficult, therefore, to organize long term management programmes. We report our experience at a tertiary referral centre on follow up of patients with epilepsy through regular postal review.
