Introduction:  Colorectal cancer is one of the malignancies in which angiogenesis has been implicated and its importance at different stages of malignant disease. Neovascularization begins when the angiogenic switch is turned on and when angiogenesis activators outweigh angiogenic inhibitors. Newly proposed classification of celiac artery variations based on embryology and correlation with computed tomography angiography.

Purpose: We studied the prevalence of celiac trunk and its anatomical variations on diagnostic computed tomography angiography (CTA) studies and have proposed a new classification to define the celiac artery (CA) variations based on embryology.

Material And Methods: We retrospectively assessed the celiac trunk variations in 1113 patients who came to our department for diagnostic CTA for liver and renal donor workup. The patient data were acquired from the Picture Archiving and Communication System of our institutions.

Environmental impact assessment of algal bloom Noctiluca scintillans in the Mandapam group of Islands, Gulf of Mannar Biosphere Reserve, Southeast coast of India.

The present investigation accounts for the environmental impact assessment of an intense algal bloom caused by the dinoflagellate Noctilucas scintillans. The bloom was first observed on the 10 of September 2019, in the vicinity of the Mandapam group of Islands, spreading from Rameswaram Coast in the North (9° 14' 15″ N, 79° 9' 46″ E) to Hare Island in the South (9° 14' 51″ N, 79° 5' 48″ E). The coastal waters in and around the Mandapam region appeared dark green, and the microscopic examination of the water sample revealed the presence of N.

Comparing Different Doses of Dexmedetomidine Combined with Ropivacaine for Ultrasound-Guided Supraclavicular Brachial Plexus Block in Upper Limb Surgeries - A Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial.

Background: Dexmedetomidine is used as an adjuvant to local anesthetic agents to provide prolonged analgesia in peripheral nerve blocks. This study aimed at determining the optimal dose of dexmedetomidine, which when combined with ropivacaine will produce a superior quality block in terms of extended pain-free period and reduced perioperative analgesic/opioid use, which in turn improves patient satisfaction.

Objective: The objective of the study is to assess the duration of analgesia with two different doses (25 μg and 50 μg) of dexmedetomidine with ropivacaine in supraclavicular brachial plexus block.

Background: Data for COVID-19 incidence and the source of infection among health care workers (HCWs) in Indian population are limited. The main objective of the study was to assess the incidence of COVID-19 infection and identify the source of infection among the HCWs in a tertiary teaching hospital.

Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted among the 2134 HCWs recruited by purposive sampling from a tertiary teaching hospital from May to August 2020 (4-month period-123 days).
