Peri-pancreatic fluid collections are late complications of acute pancreatitis. Loculated peri-pancreatic fluid collections, even rare, remain the "black sheep" in terms of drainage, due to difficulty to puncture all compartments, thus prohibiting proper drainage of all compartments. Recombined tissue plasminogen activator (r-tPA) has been advocated as treatment of the loculated collections, due to its ability to dissolve the fibrinous strands and thus facilitate proper drainage.

Iontophoresis is a method of facilitating the penetration of a drug through an intact tissue in the presence of an low intensity electrical current. In corneal crosslinking technique, iontophoresis is used for transepitelial impregnation of cornea with riboflavin. Compared to passive technique of corneal impregnation, iontophoresis shortens the time needed for impregnation, the time of exposure to UVA radiation and does not require de-epithelialisation.

Duodenal tumors are very rare tumors, with the lower incidence among the tumors of the small bowel, whose frequence is less than 5 % of all digestive tumors.
