SIDeMaST (Società Italiana di Dermatologia Medica, Chirurgica, Estetica e delle Malattie Sessualmente Trasmesse) contributed to the development of the present guideline on the systemic treatment of chronic plaque psoriasis. With the permission of EuroGuiDerm, SIDeMaST adapted the guideline to the Italian healthcare context to supply a reliable and affordable tool to Italian physicians who take care of patients affected by atopic dermatitis. The evidence- and consensus-based guideline on atopic eczema was developed in accordance with the EuroGuiDerm Guideline and Consensus Statement Development Manual.

Introduction: Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) is typically characterized by parietal, temporal, and occipital atrophy, but less is known about the newly defined prodromal phases. The objective of this study was to evaluate structural brain alterations in prodromal DLB (p-DLB) as compared to healthy controls (HC) and full-blown dementia (DLB-DEM).
Methods: The study included 42 DLB patients ( = 20 p-DLB; = 22 DLB-DEM) and 27 HC with a standardized neurological assessment and 3-tesla magnetic resonance imaging.
Antithrombin (AT) is a glycoprotein produced by the liver and a principal antagonist of active clotting proteases. A deficit in AT function leads to AT qualitative deficiency, challenging to diagnose. Here we report that active AT may travel physiosorbed on the surface of plasma extracellular vesicles (EVs), contributing to form the "EV-protein corona.

We report the case of a patient implanted with an implantable defibrillator endowed with a multisensor algorithm for heart failure monitoring. Automatic measurement of multiple clinical variables allowed to detect impending heart failure decompensation and showed its ability to facilitate differential diagnosis in the context of the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration (FTD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by a progressive deterioration of cognitive functions. Currently, no effective treatment exists. We have studied cytotoxicity and neuronal functionality in cortical and spinal cord cultures upon exposure to cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from 39 FTD patients.

We aimed to determine whether transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) can modulate intracortical connectivity and improve cognition in symptomatic FTD patients and presymptomatic FTD subjects.
Methods: We performed a double-blind, randomized, sham-controlled trial with anodal tDCS or sham stimulation over the left prefrontal cortex in 70 participants (15 presymptomatic and 55 symptomatic FTD).

Background: Radiotherapy is one of the standard treatments for cutaneous lymphoma and Total Skin Electrons Beam Irradiation (TSEBI) is generally used to treat diffuse cutaneous lymphoma and some cases of localized disease. Helical IMRT (HI) allows to treat complex target with optimal dose distribution and organ at risk sparing, so helical tomotherapy has been proposed as alternative technique to TSEBI but only one preliminary report has been published.
Methods: Three patients treated (from May 2013 to December 2014) with Helical IMRT, with a total dose between 24 and 30 Gy, were retrospectively evaluated.

Aims: According to recent data, more accurate selection of patients undergoing coronary angiography for suspected coronary artery disease (CAD) is needed. From the Active PREvention Study multicentre prospective study, we further analyse whether carotid intima-media thickness (cIMT), carotid plaques (cPL), and echocardiographic cardiac calcium score (eCS) have incremental discriminatory and reclassification predictive value for CAD over clinical risk score in subjects undergoing coronary angiography, specifically depending on their low, intermediate, or high class of clinical risk.
Methods And Results: In eight centres, 445 subjects without history of prior CAD but with chest pain of recent onset and/or a positive/inconclusive stress test for ischaemia prospectively underwent clinically indicated elective coronary angiography after cardiac and carotid ultrasound assessments with measurements of cIMT, cPL, and eCS.

Aim: To evaluate the efficacy of whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT) with or without other treatments in patients (pts) with 1-3 brain metastases (BM).
Materials And Methods: Toxicities and survival of 134 pts treated between 2009 and 2013 with WBRT alone (58 pts), WBRT plus surgery (SUR-WBRT: 42 pts) or WBRT followed by stereotactic or integrated boost radiotherapy (SRT-WBRT: 34 pts) were analyzed. Differences in toxicity (acute and late) incidence and in overall (OS), disease-free (DFS) and disease-specific survival (DSS) were evaluated (χ(2)-test, uni- and multivariate analysis).

Aim Of The Study: To analyze which factors allow to assess the risk of finding a prostate cancer (PCa) at repeated biopsies in patients with diagnosis of prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN).
Patients And Methods: At our institute all patients with a diagnosis of PIN undergo a 6-monthly control biopsy until the achievement of a benign histology or up to a maximum of 4 consecutive biopsies. For this study a retrospective review of clinical and bioptic data of patients with a diagnosis of isolated PIN (i.
