Introduction: prevalence of smoking in school children is alarming in Saudi Arabia and little is well-known about the aspects stimulating such behaviours in secondary school children. The aim of this study was to assess the association between influence of parent/sibling/peer smoking and future intentions to initiate smoke among 13-15 years old school children in Al Ras town, Saudi Arabia.
Methods: a cross sectional survey was conducted in Al Ras city during first quarter of 2019.

A forward functional shift of the mandible is a significant problem that can cause both functional and aesthetic complications for many patients. This shift usually occurs in growing patients, and it is unusual to see in adult patients. This case report shows an adult patient with a forwarding functional shift that caused both anterior and posterior crossbites with a pseudo class III dental and skeletal relationship.

The authors, working with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, conducted a systematic review/meta-analysis for studies on non-vital primary teeth resulting from trauma or caries and used the GRADE approach to assess level of certainty of evidence for clinical recommendations. GRADE was assessed from high to very low.

Class III malocclusions present a great challenge for many orthodontists, especially if malocclusions are found in adult patients and alongside other dental problems. This case report shows an adult patient with a skeletal class III anterior crossbite, a unilateral posterior crossbite on the right side, a congenital absence of both lateral incisors and retained deciduous teeth, and shift in the lower midline. The upper retained deciduous teeth and lower premolars were extracted.

This case report presents the treatment of a 12-year-old female with a severely crowded upper arch, severely palatally displaced upper premolars and lateral incisors, large midline diastema, lower midline deviation to the right, class III dental and skeletal relationships due to mild maxillary deficiency, retroclined lower incisors, straight profile, and retrusive lips. A nonextraction treatment approach is described, in which the upper and lower arches were expanded to their original three dimensions using a trihelix expander, a lip bumper appliance, and a fixed orthodontic appliance. Retention was also planned in accordance with the original malocclusion, which inclued a full-time-wear upper wraparound retainer, upper and lower anterior fixed lingual retainers, upper frenectomy, and fibrotomy for rotated teeth.

Objectives: The aim of this prospective clinical trial was to investigate the incidence of postoperative pain after initial root canal treatment using Twisted File Adaptive (TFA) and Reciproc systems.
Materials And Methods: A total of sixty-four previously initiated or necrotic posterior teeth were randomly assigned to two groups based on the rotary system used; TFA (SybronEndo, Orange, Ca) (n = 35) and Reciproc (VDW, Munich, Germany) (n = 29). All teeth were treated in a single visit.

Recent data indicates that molar-incisor hypomineralisation (MIH) is a frequently - encountered dental condition worldwide. The condition could be associated with dental complications that might affect patients' quality of life as well as create treatment challenges to dentists. The affected teeth are more prone to caries and post-eruptive enamel breakdown, therefore, it is believed that this condition might be responsible for a substantial proportion of childhood caries since the condition has high prevalence.

Background: Hormonal changes in women affect bone mineral density, especially during and postmenopausal years, which leads to susceptibility to osteoporosis which interfere with implantation.
Aims: This study aims to use cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) viewer program to predict patients with osteoporosis which may decrease the success rate of implantation and to evaluate osteoporosis effect on the posterior mandible.
Settings And Design: This cross-sectional study consists of 60 Iraqi females who were divided into three groups: Group 1 consisted of 20 nonosteoporotic females aged 20-30 years as a control group, Group 2 consisted of 20 nonosteoporotic females aged 50 years and above, and Group 3 consisted of 20 osteoporotic females aged 50 years and above.

This case report describes the treatment of a Saudi female patient, aged 13 years 8 months at the start of treatment, with a Class I bimaxillary dentoalveolar protrusion and extracted maxillary first molars. Miniscrews were placed bilaterally in the interdental space between both the upper and the lower posterior teeth. The treatment plan consisted of extraction of both lower first permanent molars, distalization of upper and lower premolars using miniscrews followed by en masse retraction of the upper and lower six anterior teeth.
