Objective: The aim of this prospective cohort study is to analyse the humoral and cellular vaccine responses in paediatric heart transplant recipients (HTR, n = 12), and compare it with the response in healthy controls (HC, n = 14). All participants were 5-18 years old and vaccinated with mRNA vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 between December 2021 and May 2022.

Methods: The humoral response was measured by quantifying antibody titers against SARS-CoV-2 spike protein (anti-S).

With the vigorous development of football, research on youth football has garnered significant attention from scholars, leading to an increase in published findings. However, there is currently no comprehensive retrospective study that examines the status, hotspots, and trends of research in this field. This study employed Cite Space, a visual bibliometric software, to systematically review and analyze 1637 articles from the Web of Science (WOS) and China Knowledge Infrastructure Project (CNKI) databases up to January 2024.

From a methodological perspective, the "mode effect," which refers to the phenomenon where different survey methods can yield different responses despite asking the same questions, presents a significant contemporary challenge. Existing solutions suggested in the literature, such as the implementation of multi-mode surveys, have their drawbacks as they may introduce bias that could impact respondent behavior. This study aims to identify distinct visitor segments within two large populations, assessing their patterns of visitation to both national and state parks.

Anticipatory emotions and academic performance: The role of boredom in a preservice teachers' lab experience.

Affective experiences within academic contexts significantly influence educational outcomes. Despite this, the literature reveals a gap in generalising these effects to specific classroom activities, partly arising from the absence of suitable instruments to measure emotions in situational educational scenarios. Our study introduces an experience sampling method to measure sixteen discrete emotional states, deriving two scales for positive and negative activating emotions.

Aims: To assess the reproducibility of 4D-Flow cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) parameters in the descending thoracic aorta-DTAo-(regurgitant fraction [RF], end-diastolic reverse flow [EDRF], and holodiastolic flow reversal [HDR]), and the relationship with RF in the sinotubular junction (STJ), and the left ventricular end-diastolic volume index (LVEDVI) in patients with chronic aortic regurgitation (AR).

Dental rehabilitation of cleft palate patients using zygomatic implants: A case report.

Edentulous patients with history of cleft palate and severe maxillary atrophy are challenging patients to rehabilitate through an oral approach. The difficulty of rehabilitating these patients lies in the unusual anatomy they present and the alteration of the vascular supply of local tissues caused by the previous performed surgeries, along with other causes. This report describes the successful dental rehabilitation with zygomatic implants of a patient with complete bilateral cleft palate who was edentulous and had severe maxillary atrophy.

For maximized performance and minimized side effects, these two modalities should be independently activated, , in a decoupled way, using distinct near infrared (NIR) wavelengths: a radiation window wherein photon-tissue interaction is reduced.

Spectral Solar Photosynthetically Photon Flux Density (PPFD) (380-780 nm) reaching the surface in different tree shade conditions and heights has been analyzed in order to better understand the different photosynthetic performance of plants depending on their spatial situation, the canopy density and height with respect to the floor. A comparison between the shadow of nine different trees in a sunny day and the case of a cloudy day in an open space has been studied. A poplar, laurel, amber tree, pine, olive tree, fir tree, cypress, elm tree and magnolia tree have been analyzed.

Evaluation of the Effect of Loperamide on the Cardiac Repolarization Interval Using Exposure-Response Analysis.

This analysis assessed the relationship between the plasma concentrations of loperamide and its N-desmethyl loperamide meta- bolite (M1) and the potential QT interval prolongation at therapeutic and supratherapeutic doses. Colorimetric detection of oxidizing metal ions using anilide-poly(phenylacetylene)s.

Poly(phenylacetylene)s (PPAs) bearing -substituted anilide pendant groups are sensitive to the presence of oxidizing metal ions such as Cu, Hg, Fe, Au or Ce due to a redox reaction between the anilide-PPA and the metal ion. Using a library of six different PPAs containing diverse chiral pendant groups connected to the PPA backbone through the N (anilide) or C (benzamide) atoms of an amide group used as a linker, it was found that anilide-PPAs are sensitive to oxidizing metal ions. In these polymers, and through a redox reaction, a radical species is delocalized along the polyene backbone, resulting in a color change of the solution from yellow to blue.

Primary Visceral Ewing Sarcoma (Gastric and Bladder) with KIT Expression: A Report of Two Patients and a Differential Diagnostic Approach.

Extra-skeletal Ewing sarcoma is a rare tumor, most commonly occurring in the paravertebral region, extremities, retroperitoneum, and very rarely in visceral locations. We present two primary visceral Ewing sarcomas confirmed at the molecular level: one located in the stomach and the other in the bladder. Both tumors demonstrated strong and diffuse membranous CD99 expression, accompanied by variable KIT immunoreactivity.

150 Years of the Tetrahedral Carbon: A Toast to Chirality.

We have recently celebrated the 150th anniversary of the tetrahedral carbon (1874-2024), as postulated by van't Hoff and Le Bel, who published their seminal breakthrough only 2-months apart, on September 5 and November 5, 1874, respectively. The concept is a fundamental pillar of structural chemistry and, if we may say so, of molecular sciences. How two young men in their early careers dared to disturb the established way of thinking constitutes the jumping-off of scientific theories as constructive elements, rather than arguments derived from experiments.
