Among the array of potential hydrogel precursor materials, chitosan (CS) has garnered significant attention due to its remarkable physicochemical and biological attributes. These attributes include biodegradability, nontoxicity, antimicrobial properties, wound healing promotion, and immune system activation, making CS a highly appealing hydrogel-based bioink candidate.

Circadian rhythms of metabolic, hormonal, and behavioral fluctuations and their alterations can impact health. An important gap in knowledge in the field is whether the time of the day of exercise and the age of onset of exercise exert distinct effects at the level of whole-body adipose tissue and body composition. The goal of the present study was to determine how exercise at different times of the day during adolescence impacts the adipose tissue transcriptome and content in a rodent model.

Air pollution and systemic immune biomarkers in early life: a systematic review.

Introduction: Children's rapid development and immature immune systems place them at a higher risk of adverse health outcomes associated with air pollution exposure. However, the specific mechanisms in which air pollution mediates immune dysregulation in youth are poorly understood. Thus, we aimed to systematically review the available epidemiological evidence surrounding the effects of indoor and ambient air pollution exposure on systemic immune biomarkers in early life (from birth to 18 years old).

Using advanced statistical tools, we investigated urban green coverage, Urban Morphological Zones (UMZ), and sealing (imperviousness) levels and effects. These bacterial 'killer' genes were then assayed for their potential to target and control malignant cells in human cancers. The identification of the bacteriomes in different human organs and tissues, coupled with the observation that bacteria tend to accumulate near tumours, has opened new avenues for anti-cancer strategies.
