Bainbridge-Ropers Syndrome (BRPS) is a genetic condition resulting from truncating variants in the ASXL3 gene. The clinical features include neurodevelopmental and language impairments, behavioral issues, hypotonia, feeding difficulties, and distinctive facial features. In this retrospective study, we analyzed 22 Spanish individuals with BRPS, aiming to perform a detailed clinical and molecular description and establish a genotype-phenotype correlation.

Introduction: Neuropsychology is an area of psychology that studies, through different methodologies, the relationship between the nervous system and behavior. This study aims to describe the profile of the patient who most frequently received a neuropsychological assessment at HULP between 2018 and 2023.
Patients And Methods: This is a retrospective observational study of 394 clinical records of subjects aged 18 years or older who were attended in the neuropsychology consultation of HULP between 2018 and 2023.

Objectives: To develop an EULAR training model for education in synovial tissue biopsy (STB) under ultrasound guidance (UG) following a stepwise approach: (1) development of educational material on UGSTB in large and small joints; (2) assessment of the validity, reliability and feasibility of the UGSTB educational procedure on cadaveric specimens; (3) validation of this procedure in live patients.
Methods: Using a nominal group (NG) and a DELPHI consensus methodology, educational audio-visual (AV) material and minimal requirements for education in UGSTB were developed by an expert panel. Then the experts performed an UGSTB on cadaveric joints using the developed approach.

Objective: To investigate the rate and factors influencing renal relapse (RR) in proliferative lupus nephritis (LN) patients who discontinued immunosuppressive therapy (IST), as well as the long-term renal outcomes following RR.
Methods: Retrospective, single-centre study of biopsy-confirmed LN patients who had received IST for at least 36 months and maintained complete renal response (CRR) for a minimum of 12 months before therapy discontinuation.
Results: Of a total of 106 patients meeting the inclusion criteria, 76 with proliferative classes were selected for analysis.

Background: At present, 3D printing technology is becoming increasingly popular in analytical chemistry because it enables the rapid and cost-effective manufacture of sample preparation devices, particularly in flow-based operation, opening up new opportunities for the development of automated analytical methods. In parallel, the use of miniaturized methods and sustainable solvents in sample preparation is highly recommended. Accordingly, in this work, a 3D-printed millifluidic device was designed and used for the on-line natural deep eutectic solvent (NADES)-based liquid phase microextraction (LPME) coupled to a spectrofluorometer for, as a proof of concept, the determination of thiabendazole (TBZ) in fruit juice samples.

Colorimetric paper-based analytical devices (CPADs) are cost-efficient and high-throughput technologies that use readily available materials for point-of-need (PON) applications by leveraging color changes in response to target analytes. However, the complexity of samples can limit the precision and accuracy of CPAD applications. Therefore, CPADs have been combined with chemometric approaches to enhance analytical performance and provide simple solutions to complex systems.

Background: The detection of genetic sequences represents the gold standard procedure for species discrimination, genetic characterisation of tumours, and identification of pathogens. The development of new molecular detection methods, accessible and cost effective, is of great relevance. Biosensors based on plasmonic nanoparticles, such as gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), provide a powerful and versatile platform for highly sensitive, economic, user-friendly and label-free sensing.

Background: Developing analytical methods for Traditional Medicine products by liquid chromatography is challenging due to their chemical complexity and the lack of analytical standards for numerous, unidentified constituents. Regulatory agencies recommend chromatographic fingerprint analysis for quality evaluation, relying on peak detection to ensure resolution. Conventional modelling struggles to optimise experimental conditions for such complex samples.

In this paper, we test the factors across modalities that may influence comparability between medication and psychotherapy trials.
Methods: We included 92 randomised controlled trials (RCTs) of psychotherapy and medication for child and adolescent depression (mean age 4-18 years). Using meta-analyses, we compared (a) participant characteristics and (b) trial characteristics in medication and psychotherapy trials.

Objective: Despite lack of evidence supporting efficacy, prophylactic fresh frozen plasma and Octaplas transfusions may be administered to very preterm infants to reduce bleeding risk. International variation in plasma transfusion practices in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) is poorly understood, therefore, we aimed to describe neonatal plasma transfusion practice in Europe.

Interferon-γ (IFN-γ) is a key mediator in antitumor immunity and immunotherapy responses, yet its clinical application remains restricted to chronic granulomatous disease and malignant osteopetrosis. IFN-γ effectiveness as a standalone treatment has shown limited success in clinical trials and its potential for synergistic effects when combined with immunotherapies is under clinical exploration. A particularly compelling combination is that of IFN-γ with Toll-like receptor (TLR) agonists that holds significant promise for cancer treatment.

Current lifestyles include calorie-dense diets and late-night food intake, which can lead to circadian misalignment. Our group recently demonstrated that sweet treats before bedtime alter the clock system in healthy rats, increasing metabolic risk factors. Therefore, we aimed to assess the impact of the sweet treat consumption time on the clock system in rats fed a cafeteria diet (CAF).

Molecular markers and pathways involved in the etiology and pathophysiology of bicuspid aortopathy are poorly understood. The aim here is to delve into the molecular and cellular mechanisms of the disease and identify potential predictive molecular markers using a well-established isogenic hamster model (T-strain) of bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) and thoracic aortic dilatation (TAD). We carried out comparative quantitative proteomics combined with western blot and morpho-molecular analyses in the ascending aorta of tricuspid aortic valve (TAV) and BAV animals from the T-strain, and TAV animals from a control strain.

Radial nerve compression at the arcade of Frohse is a rare but significant condition that typically presents with pain primarily after exertion and at night on the dorsal side of the forearm, more distally than tennis elbow pain, and weakness of the wrist extensors and the long fingers and thumb extensors. Traditional treatment often involves open surgery, resulting in significant scarring. This study introduces a novel percutaneous radial nerve release technique under complete ultrasound guidance and highlights its efficacy and safety.
