This retrospective study aims to describe the vascular events in the central nervous system (CNS) associated with the acute form of steroid-responsive meningitis-arteritis (SRMA), to compare the clinical features of dogs with and without such complications and to potentially identify predisposing factors for these events. Dogs with a presumptive diagnosis of SRMA visited between 2018 and 2023 with full medical records that underwent neurological examination, blood testing, cervical computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis were included. Thirty-three dogs were included and divided in two groups.

This study aimed to develop exposure-response relationships (ERRs) between road, rail, and air traffic noise and high noise annoyance (HNA) and to assess the HNA disease burden. In 2023, 4 640 adults were cross-sectionally sampled from the five largest cities in Bulgaria. Participants' road, rail/tram, and air traffic HNA was defined as the top two categories (60% cut-off point) of a 5-point scale.

HER2DX in HER2-positive inflammatory breast cancer: correlative insights and comparative analysis with noninflammatory breast cancers.

Background: The HER2DX assay predicts long-term prognosis and pathologic complete response (pCR) in patients with early-stage human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive breast cancer receiving neoadjuvant systemic therapy but has not been evaluated in inflammatory breast cancer (IBC).

Patients And Methods: HER2DX was analyzed in baseline biopsy tissues from 23 patients with stage III HER2-positive IBC on a phase II trial (NCT01796197) treated with neoadjuvant trastuzumab, pertuzumab, and paclitaxel (THP). Population health management (PHM) is a people-centred, data-driven and proactive approach to improving the health and well-being of a defined population, considering the differences within that population and their social determinants of health. This study aimed to implement a targeted multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) screening strategy using liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) for the initial detection of 165 compounds of emerging concern (CECs) in water, sediment, and fish samples. Following the screening, confirmatory and quantitative analyses were conducted using analytical standards for the detected compounds. Qualitative results were confirmed using high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) for those CECs without available standards.
