Brain microstructure alterations in subjective cognitive decline: a multi-component T2 relaxometry study.

Previous research has revealed patterns of brain atrophy in subjective cognitive decline, a potential preclinical stage of Alzheimer's disease. Objective: In the context of the public health emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Quebec in 2020, remote public service interpreting has become, within a few days, an essential practice for maintaining services to migrants and allophone refugees, a particularly vulnerable population. This study aimed to measure the impact of two training courses on remote collaboration for mediated consultations developed for healthcare workers and untrained interpreters.

Environmental cues sometimes have a direct impact on phage particle stability, as well as bacterial physiology and metabolism, having a profound effect on phage infection outcome. Here, we explore the impact of temperature on the interplay between phage (phiIPLA-RODI) and its host, . Our results show that phiIPLA-RODI is a more effective predator at room (25 °C) compared to body temperature (37 °C) against planktonic cultures of several strains with varying degrees of phage susceptibility.

Factors influencing sport development among women with disabilities: a case study of a visually impaired Spanish Paralympic woman.

Introduction: Women with disabilities may experience particular difficulties in starting and developing in sport, also in the Paralympic context. Although a great deal of research has been conducted with high-performance athletes, relatively few studies have focused on athletes with disabilities, especially Paralympic women using person-first approaches. Thus, the main objective of this study is to understand, through the experience and opinion of a Paralympian female athlete, how these athletes reach their full potential, identifying the elements and initiatives that can influence (whether positively or negatively) their sporting trajectory and developmental milestones.

"Play by play": A dataset of handball and basketball game situations in a standardized space.

This paper presents a synthetic dataset of labeled game situations in recordings of federated handball and basketball matches played in Galicia, Spain. The dataset consists of synthetic data generated from real video frames, including 308,805 labeled handball frames and 56,578 labeled basketball frames extracted from 2105 handball and 383 basketball 5-s video clips. Experts manually labeled the video clips based on the respective sports, while the individual frames were automatically labeled using computer vision and machine learning techniques.

Integration of data sets for modelling gender violence and perception of insecurity.

The dataset offers a comprehensive information to analyse cities and neighbourhood that are potentially unsafe for women, this information has been collected for four cities: Toluca (Mexico), Valencia (Spain), Dublin (Ireland) and San Francisco (USA). The collection includes quantitative and qualitative variables obtained and processed from open data, georeferenced publications from a social media platform, and points located through participatory mapping sessions. The data is structured in raw format, organized by country and city, and categorized according to the data source used while processing, which allows unrestricted access with most data analysis software and it does not depend on specific licenses.

Functionalization of zeolite-encapsulated Cu clusters as visible-light photoactive sub-nanomaterials.

The unique structural properties of zeolites make them ideal environments for encapsulating subnanometric metal clusters on their microporous channels and cavities, showing an enhanced catalytic performance. As a first step towards the functionalization of these clusters as photocatalysts as well, this work addresses the optical properties of zeolite-encapsulated Cu-TiO nanoparticles as well as their application in the photo-induced activation of CO by sunlight. Model density functional theory (DFT) calculations indicate the stability of the Cu cluster adsorbed on the TiO nanoparticles filling the pores of a model zeolite structure.
