The association between childhood bullying victimization and depression has been well-explored among young adults, but little is known about whether this relationship persists into later life stages, specifically during middle-aged and older phases. Moreover, the intricate mechanisms underpinning this association and the potential existence of gender differences within this context remain inadequately elucidated. To address this gap in knowledge, this study aims to investigate the association between childhood bullying victimization and depression in later life, with a focus on exploring the mediating role of social isolation and the moderating roles of gender.

Despite gossip research's predominant focus on gossipers and gossip targets, existing theoretical views and the limited yet important empirical studies converge to suggest that gossip benefits its recipients. Our research builds on conservation of resources theory to shift this consensus by examining the negative effects of supervisor-directed gossip on recipients. We theorize that hearing negative supervisor-directed gossip triggers both cognition- and affect-focused rumination, which consume resources, and we develop a research question around the moderating role of hearing positive supervisor-directed gossip.

Question matching is the fundamental task in retrieval-based dialogue systems which assesses the similarity between Query and Question. Unfortunately, existing methods focus on improving the accuracy of text similarity in the general domain, without adaptation to the financial domain. Financial question matching has two critical issues: (1) How to accurately model the contextual representation of a financial sentence? (2) How to accurately represent financial key phrases in an utterance? To address these issues, this paper proposes a novel ancial nowledge nhanced work that significantly injects financial knowledge into contextual text.

When the binary response variable contains an excess of zero counts, the data are imbalanced. Imbalanced data cause trouble for binary classification. To simplify the numerical computation to obtain the maximum likelihood estimators of the zero-inflated Bernoulli (ZIBer) model parameters with imbalanced data, an expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm is proposed to derive the maximum likelihood estimates of the model parameters.

In clinical studies, the risk of a disease may dramatically change when some biological indexes of the human body exceed some thresholds. Furthermore, the differences in individual characteristics of patients such as physical and psychological experience may lead to subject-specific thresholds or change points. Although a large literature has been established for regression analysis of failure time data with change points, most of the existing methods assume the same, fixed change point for all study subjects.

Based on the data of China Family Panel Studies (CFPS), this paper decomposed Chinese residents' income into labor income and capital income by income source, and measured the income inequality and income composition inequality of Chinese residents during 2010-2018. We take the Gini coefficient as a measure of inequality and, by decomposing it by income source, analyze the absolute and relative marginal effects of capital income and labor income on the overall income inequality. On this basis, this paper discusses the redistributive effect of financial instruments such as personal income tax and transfer payment on income inequality and income composition inequality.
