The low satisfaction of fans' spectator experience, the weak willingness to continue to watch games have become the realistic barriers limiting the sustained and favorable development of Chinese Basketball Association league (CBA League). Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA), this study clarifies the complex causal relationship behind the phenomenon of fans' spectator experience, explore the linkage mechanism between different influencing factors of spectator experience. Also constructs a variety of grouping paths to enhance the fans' spectator experience in the CBA League.

How do Psychological Factors Influence Disaster Preparedness? Evidence from Disaster-Stricken Mountainous Areas of China.

Objectives: Disaster preparedness plays a vital role in mitigating risks and strengthening resilience of local communities in rural areas. This study examines the linkage between psychological factors and 4 kinds of disaster preparedness intentions and explores the challenges in translating intentions into actions.

In criminal investigations, distinguishing between impact spatters and fly spots presents a challenge due to their morphological similarities. Traditional methods of bloodstain pattern analysis (BPA) rely significantly on the expertise of professional examiners, which can result in limitations including low identification efficiency, high misjudgment rates, and susceptibility to external disturbances. To enhance the accuracy and scientific rigor of identifying impact spatters and fly spots, this study employed artificial intelligence techniques in image recognition and transfer learning.

Breathing life into equity: How air pollution influences corporate pay gap.

Using a dataset encompassing 19,229 Chinese listed firm-year observations from 2014 to 2020, this study investigates the relationship between air quality and the pay gap between executives and employees. Our empirical results indicate that companies tend to reduce the pay gap in response to air pollution. These results exhibit robustness through various methodological approaches: employing thermal inversion as an instrumental variable (IV) for IV regressions, adopting quantile regressions, utilizing alternative metrics for assessing air pollution and corporate pay gap, expanding control variables, excluding firms undergoing reorganization, and applying firm-level clustering.

Household residential energy choices in green transition: insights from a household survey in rural China.

It has been widely recognized that accelerating green residential energy transition from traditional solid fuels (biomass and coal) to clean and high-efficient energy sources is critical for rural sustainable development. However, little attention has been paid to estimate panel data discrete choice models to analyze the dynamic behavior information of individual households in the process of energy transition. Hence, this paper investigates green residential energy transition using a panel dataset from 3308 rural households in eight provinces of China in 2015 and 2018.

A revisit to interactions of stimulus quality and semantic context on N400 in visual word recognition.

Much behavioral research has revealed interactive effects between stimulus quality and semantic priming in visual word recognition, practically in favor of the interactive activation model. However, the limited number of event-related brain potential (ERP) studies have yielded inconsistent results considering this interaction's impact on N400 amplitude. The current ERP study aimed to examine whether the joint effects of stimulus quality and semantic priming were specific to the lexical decision task.

Systematic evaluation and review of Germany renewable energy research: A bibliometric study from 2008 to 2023.

Research Purpose: This study aims to outline the fundamental status of the German academic community's research in the field of renewable energy and to foster collaboration between China and Germany in this area.

Research Methods: This study examines documents published by German scholars from 2008 to 2023, which are part of the "Web of Science (WOS) Core Collection" database and related to renewable energy issues, using the bibliometric visualization tool CiteSpace 6.2.

The influence of psychological change factors of tennis training strategy using optimized recurrent neural network and artificial intelligence.

Due to the specialization of tennis technical training, the teaching focus of tennis teaching has gradually shifted to the psychological skills training of tennis players. This work addresses the impact of psychological factors on tennis players' insufficient concentration in teaching and training on match results. It discusses the psychological changes' influencing factors in tennis training strategies and analyzes the current psychological changes that are easy to occur in tennis teaching.

The effect of new e-commerce platform's OSC promotion on consumer cognition: from cognitive legitimacy and cognitive psychology perspective.

Introduction: In the realm of emerging e-commerce platforms, the influence of online shopping events, specifically online carnival promotions (OSC), on consumer behavior is a significant area of interest.This paper delves into the effects of such promotions on consumer perceptions, a topic that has not been extensively explored in academic research.

Methods: To investigate this phenomenon, two distinct studies were conducted.

Development of a scale for the impact of emotion management on young athletes' training efficiency.

In this study, we developed a scale to evaluate emotion management and its benefits for young athletes in China, and to analyze the impact of emotion management on their training efficiency. Following an extensive literature review, we used AMOS structural equation model software to develop a scale for evaluating the effects and benefits of emotion management on young athletes' training efficiency. Results showed that young athletes' emotion management training and its benefits can be divided into five dimensions: benefit evaluation, emotional cognition, emotion influence, emotion control, and emotion regulation.

Wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) has become an objective and updated surveillance strategy for monitoring and estimating consumption trends of psychoactive substances (PSs) in the population. Firstly, magnetic shrimp shell biochar-based adsorbent (DZMBC) was synthesized and employed for extraction trace PSs from municipal wastewater. Proper pyrolysis temperature and increased KOH activator content favored the pore structure and surface area, thus facilitating extraction.

Has environmental protection tax reform promoted green transformation of enterprises? Evidence from China.

Facing the increasingly stringent constraints of resources and the environment, the green transformation of enterprises is imperative. This study selects A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2014 to 2021 as samples, using the difference-in-differences method to examine the impact of the environmental protection tax reform (EPTR) on the green transformation of enterprises. The results indicate that the EPTR can promote the green transformation of enterprises, achieving this through three channels: raising the cost of pollution, strengthening the rigidity of law enforcement, and breaking the collusion between the government and enterprises.

Driving factors and grouping paths of rural sports development in China - A qualitative comparative analysis based on fuzzy sets.

The development of rural sports depends on many factors, but the complex causal relationship between various factors and the level of rural sports development is not clear. Using data envelopment analysis (DEA) and fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), this study aims to examine the driving role of various factors on rural sports development and construct various grouping paths to improve the level of rural sports development in China. The results shows that the area of fitness venues and social capital participation are sufficient conditions for the development of rural sports in China.

Extraversion and low introversion more equivalent to high introversion in depression during COVID-19.

Objective: This study investigated whether forms of extraversion-introversion produced different depression-related outcomes before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Method: One-way MANCOVAs were conducted to investigate the relationship between extraversion-introversion and depressive symptoms. These data were sourced from the NLSY97, consisting of 4846 individuals born between 1980 and 1984.

How hydrogen bonding and π-π interactions synergistically facilitate mephedrone adsorption by bio-sorbent: An in-depth microscopic scale interpretation.

Mephedrone (4-methylmethcathinone, MEPH) exhibited severe ecologic hazards and health detriments. A novel deep eutectic solvent functionalized magnetic ZIF-8/hierarchical porous carbon (DMZH) with excellent selectivity, interference resistance and recyclability, was developed for the rapid adsorption of MEPH. Initially, potential adsorption sites of MEPH were predicted.

Climate change and women employment in agriculture in the Sahel region: An empirical insight.

In recent times, the Sahel region has been particularly identified as the flash point of climate change crisis in Africa, due to the persistent reliance on both biophysical factors and natural resources, especially agriculture for economic livelihood. Agains t this scenario, this study provides an empirical evidence to establish the nexus between climate change and women employment in agriculture within the Sahel region. The study employed panel data from 1990 to 2020 of 9 countries within the Sahel region.

Diarrhea as a Disease of Poverty Among Under-Five Children in Sub-Saharan Africa: A Cross-Sectional Study.

The objective of this study was to assess the prevalence of diarrhea among under-five children in low-middle-income countries and identify the sociodemographic factors associated with it. Data of 36 countries in sub-Saharan Africa from demographic and Health Surveys (2006-2018) comprising 251 341 mother-child (singleton) dyads were analyzed to estimate the prevalence and various modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors of diarrhea. Occurrence of diarrhea during the last 2 weeks was the outcome variable which was measured by mothers' observation of the condition.

The impact of government subsidy and weather on environmentally sustainable investment decision for agricultural supply chain.

This paper studies the environmentally sustainable investment of an agricultural supply chain composed of a farmer and a company, under three subsidy policies which are the non-subsidy policy, the fixed subsidy policy, and the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) subsidy policy. Then, we analyse the impact of different subsidy policy and adverse weather on the costs of the government and profits of the farmer and the company. By comparing with the non-subsidy policy, we find that both the fixed subsidy policy and the ARC policy encourage the farmer to improve the environmentally sustainable investment level and increase the profit of the farmer and the company.
