Nidustrin A (1), the first cysteine-retained emestrin featuring a unique sulfur-containing 18-membered macrocyclic lactone, along with four biogenetically related compounds (2-5), and one known analogue secoemestrin C (6), were isolated from the large-scale culture of Aspergillus nidulans, an endophytic fungus derived from the Whitmania pigra. Compounds 2 and 3 represent the second examples of noremestrin besides the previously reported noremestrin A, and the single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis of compound 2 provided solid evidence for the intriguing skeleton of noremestrin. Their structures were determined by extensive spectroscopic data, electronic circular dichroism calculations, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.

January 2025

College of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sichuan University, State Key Laboratory of Polymer Materials Engineering, Chengdu 610065 Sichuan, China.

Ionic skin can mimic human skin to sense both temperature and pressure simultaneously. However, a significant challenge remains in creating precise ionic skins resistant to external stimuli interference when subjected to pressure. In this study, we present an innovative approach to address this challenge by introducing a highly anisotropic nanofluidic ionic skin (ANIS) composed of carboxylated cellulose nanofibril (CNF)-reinforced poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) nanofibrillar network achieved through a straightforward one-step hot drawing method.

Harvesting the energy from the interaction between hygroscopic materials and atmospheric water can generate green and clean energy. However, the ion diffusion process of moisture-induced dissociation leads to the disappearance of the ion concentration gradient gradually, and there is still a lack of moisture-based power generation devices with truly continuous operation, especially the duration of the current output still needs to be extended. Here, we propose a design for reconstructing the ion concentration gradient by coupling photocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction with hydrovoltaic effect, to report a moisture-enabled electric generator (MEG) with continuous current output.

Flexible perovskite solar cells (F-PSCs) are appealing for their flexibility and high power-to-weight ratios. However, the fragile grain boundaries (GBs) in perovskite films can lead to stress and strain cracks under bending conditions, limiting the performance and stability of F-PSCs. Herein, we show that the perovskite film can facilely achieve in situ bifacial capping via introducing 4-(methoxy)benzylamine hydrobromide (MeOBABr) as the precursor additive.

The existing landslide monitoring methods are unable to accurately reflect the true deformation of the landslide body, and the use of a single SAR satellite, affected by its revisit cycle, still suffers from the limitation of insufficient temporal resolution for landslide monitoring. Therefore, this paper proposes a method for the dynamic reconstruction and evolutionary characteristic analysis of the Gaojiawan landslide's along-slope deformation based on ascending and descending orbit time-series InSAR observations using Kalman filtering. Initially, the method employs a gridded selection approach during the InSAR time-series processing, filtering coherent points based on the standard deviation of residual phases, thereby ensuring the density and quality of the extracted coherent points.
