Neuralgic muscular atrophy is not uncommon in clinical practice. Due to the different branches of brachial plexus involved in the lesion, the clinical symptoms are different, and there is a lack of clear imaging diagnostic criteria, so the diagnosis of this disease brings great challenges to clinicians. We have certain experience in the diagnosis and treatment of this disease, and hereby select a representative case of neuralgic muscular atrophy to share its diagnosis and treatment process, focusing on analyzing the characteristic symptoms of this disease, valuable imaging data and targeted treatment, so as to enable clinicians to better understand this disease.

This case report presents a detailed analysis of a 31-year-old male patient who presented with a complex array of clinical symptoms, including proteinuria, hematuria, edema, and kidney insufficiency. Despite undergoing multiple tests, the results for anti-glomerular basement membrane antibodies yielded negative findings. Subsequently, kidney biopsy pathology revealed a distinct diagnosis of atypical anti-glomerular basement membrane (anti-GBM) disease with membrane hyperplasia.

Background: For knee osteoarthritis patients, analyzing alignment of lower limbs is essential for therapy, which is currently measured from standing long-leg radiographs of anteroposterior X-ray (LLR) manually. To address the time wasting, poor reproducibility and inconvenience of use caused by existing methods, we present an automated measurement model in portable devices for assessing knee alignment from LLRs.

Method: We created a model and trained it with 837 conforming LLRs, and tested it using 204 LLRs without duplicates in a portable device.

Objective: To investigate the effect of ARL67156, a small-molecule inhibitor of CD39, on cytotoxicity of natural killer (NK) cells against gastric cancer cells.

Methods: Human peripheral blood-derived primary NK cells isolated and purified using a magnetic bead antibody method were treated with 100 μmol/L ARL67156 for 24 h, and the signaling pathway of NK cell activation was detected by Western blotting. The level of interferon-γ (IFN-γ) in the supernatant of NK cells co-cultured with gastric cancer cells was detected using ELISA, and NK cell CD107a degranulation was measured with flow cytometry.
