Plant-derived exosome-like nanoparticles(PELNs) are a class of membranous vesicles with diameters approximately ranging from 30 to 300 nm, isolated from plant tissues. They contain components such as proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids. PELNs play an important role in the metabolism of plant substances and immune defense, and can also cross-regulate the physiological activities of fungi and animal cells, showing significant potential applications.

Purpose: To study the temporomandibular joint morphology and position and the maxillary characteristics of skeletal Class Ⅲ mandibular deviation patients with vertical disproportion in bilateral gonions.
Methods: Overall 79 adult patients with skeletal Class Ⅲ malocclusions were selected. Craniofacial spiral CT scanning was performed, and three-dimensional reconstruction of the temporomandibular joint(TMJ) was carried out by using ProPlan CMF3.

Objectives: Accurate differentiation of temporary vs. permanent changes occurring following irreversible electroporation (IRE) holds immense importance for the early assessment of ablative treatment outcomes. Here, we investigated the benefits of advanced statistical learning models for an immediate evaluation of therapeutic outcomes by interpreting quantitative characteristics captured with conventional MRI.

This study was designed to explore the effect and mechanism of Gegen Qinlian Decoction(GQD) on cardiac function of diabetic mice with damp-heat syndrome. The db/db diabetic mice were exposed to the damp-heat environment test chamber for inducing the damp-heat syndrome. Forty-eight six-week-old db/db mice were randomly divided into six groups, namely the db/db diabetic model group, db/db diabetic mouse with damp-heat syndrome(db/db-dh) group, db/db diabetic mouse with damp-heat syndrome treated with low-dose GQD(db/db-dh+GQD-L) group, db/db-dh+GQD-M(medium-dose) group, db/db-dh+GQD-H(high-dose) group, and db/db-dh+lipro(liprostatin-1, the inhibitor of ferroptosis) group, with eight six-week-old db/m mice classified into the control group.

Phospholysine phosphohistidine inorganic pyrophosphate phosphatase (LHPP) is a new-found tumor suppressor in a variety of tumors. While, it is still unknown about its role in glioma. In this study, we found that LHPP is abnormally decreasing or absent in glioblastoma, and the low expression of LHPP is associated with poor median survival in glioma patients.

Noise pollution is a major public hazard. Previous studies have shown that environmental noise affects the reorganization of the auditory cortex and leads to behavioral abnormality; however, the effects of long-term environmental noise exposure on the inner ear and hearing remain to be elucidated. In this study, we simulated environmental noise with a long-term 70 dB sound pressure level "white" noise, observed its effect on the inner ears of C57BL/6J mice, and developed an model for mechanistic studies.

Cysteine-rich intestinal protein 1 (CRIP1) is overexpressed in colorectal cancer (CRC) tissues and functions as an oncogene in regulating the migration and invasion of CRC cells. However, the underlying mechanism is unclear. CRIP1 has a role in zinc absorption and functions as an intracellular zinc transport protein.

: Melanoma is the most common malignancy of skin cancer. Small nucleolar RNA host gene 5 (SNHG5), a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA), has been demonstrated to be abnormally expressed in multiple malignances. However, the roles and molecular mechanisms of SNHG5 in melanoma progression have not been well identified.
