Interleukin-6 (IL-6) plays a crucial role in systemic autoimmunity and pathologic inflammation. Numerous studies have explored serum IL-6 levels in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and their correlation with disease activity. Here, we performed a meta-analysis to quantitatively assess the correlation between the serum IL-6 levels and SLE activity.

Clinical outcomes of posterior laminectomy and pedicle screw fixation for upper cervical intraspinal tumors: a case series.

Objective: This study was performed to introduce posterior laminectomy and pedicle screw fixation for the treatment of upper cervical spinal cord tumors and investigate the curative effects.

Methods: Eighteen patients (11 men, 7 women) who underwent surgical treatment of an upper cervical intraspinal tumor from January 2008 to June 2013 were reviewed. A Case Report of Heterotopic Ossification Caused by High-Voltage Electric Injury.

This case report described the diagnosis and treatment of a patient with ectopic bone injury due to high-pressure electric shock.
