Pneumatosis cystoides intestinalis (PCI) is an uncommon condition where cyst-like locules of gas are present in the submucosa or subserosa of the gastrointestinal tract. The majority of cases are benign and are associated with drugs such as chemotherapy agents or conditions including chronic obstructive airways disease. We present the case of PCI resulting in pneumoperitoneum in a 72-year-old male patient on chemotherapy for esophageal adenocarcinoma.

We report three cases of AstraZeneca vaccine (AZV)-induced radiation recall phenomenon (RRP) in three women who had previously undergone radiotherapy for breast cancer. RRP is a rare complication of vaccination that can mimic the more common pathology of breast cellulitis. Emergency physicians, primary care specialists, and surgeons should be aware of RRP when treating patients in the current coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) climate.

Intussusception involving the colon is unusual in adults and when present is managed with resection due to the risk of malignancy. We present an unusual case where the intussusceptum was impacted stool in a mucosal pouch in the transverse colon. The patient presented with bleeding per rectum and abdominal pain and was found to have a colocolic intussusception on computed tomography.

Localized tracheobronchial amyloidosis (TBA) is a rare manifestation of pulmonary amyloid disease, and can result in central airway obstruction.
