Tracheobronchial foreign body (TFB) aspiration in adults is uncommon but can be life-threatening, often due to differences in airway sizes and reflexes. Symptoms associated with TFB are typically choking episodes followed by cough and dyspnea, but sometimes it can lead to acute asphyxiation. Chest radiography and computed tomography can provide information about the foreign body, its characteristics, and its location, however, bronchoscopy remains the preferred method for diagnosis and removal.

Uterine rupture of a healthy gravid uterus can occur as a result of structural abnormalities of the uterine tissue framework or uterine parietal fragility due to pathological phenomena such as septic states. On admission, the clinical picture is generally that of an acute abdomen with a hypogastric origin, with or without hemodynamic instability and an altered general condition, depending on the presence of an underlying advanced uterine infection.

However, this technique has been delayed since the advent of antibiotics and the carcinogenic risk associated with radiation therapy. Currently, it represents an alternative therapeutic in the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic which leads sometimes to fatal pneumonia, especially given the limited availability of effective treatments for severe forms of pneumonia.

A generic medication is a copy of an original drug for which the patent has expired. It contains the same active substances and is equivalent in terms of safety, efficacy, and pharmaceutical quality. Generic drugs are produced after the expiration of the brand-name drug's patent, which enables greater competition and reduces costs for patients and healthcare systems.

Amyopathic dermatomyositis is a rare form of dermatomyositis characterized by cutaneous lesions without clinical, biological, or histological muscular involvement. Pulmonary complications associated with this condition are diffuse interstitial lung disease (ILD), pneumomediastinum, and spontaneous pneumothorax. The form associated with anti-melanoma differentiation-associated protein 5 (anti-MDA-5) antibodies is reputed to have a poor prognosis and is responsible for ILD which can rapidly progress to fatal respiratory failure.

The reversed halo sign (RHS) is a specific radiological image observed mostly on computed tomography (CT) scans as a focal round area of ground-glass attenuation surrounded by a crescent or ring of consolidation. It is common to many entities of respiratory diseases and can be found in both infectious, noninfectious inflammatory pathologies and some malignant tumors, including invasive pulmonary fungal infection, tuberculosis (TB), community-acquired pneumonia, granulomatosis, sarcoidosis. It is also seen in pulmonary neoplasms and infarction, and following radiation and radiofrequency.

Tuberculous osteomyelitis is infrequent and occurs most often in the femur, the tibia, and the small bonne of hands and feet. Herein, we report a 39-year-old female who presented with chronic pain and motion range reduction of the left knee joint for two years. A knee radiograph revealed a geographic lytic lesion of the epiphyseal and diaphyseal region of the tibia mimicking giant cell tumor (GCT).

This excessive oxalate production leads to the accumulation of calcium oxalate (known as oxalosis) throughout various organs in the body. The urinary tract, specifically the renal parenchyma, is the first location where the deposition of calcium oxalate begins in PH.

Background: Peritoneal dialysis (PD) has become a well-established complementary alternative to hemodialysis (HD) as the first-line renal replacement modality. Unlike the temporary catheter for hemodialysis that can be used immediately after implementation, the PD catheter usage period remains controversial. The aim of this study was to compare the short- and long-term outcomes in patients under peritoneal dialysis according to the delay of starting the dialysis after catheter placement.
