A series of derivatives (5-14) were synthesized through the diazotization of sulfadiazine with active methylene compounds. The chemical structures of these newly designed compounds were validated through spectral and elemental analysis techniques. The antiproliferative potential of derivatives 5-14 was assessed against three distinct cancer cell lines (A431, A549, and H1975) using the MTT assay.

The accumulation of chromium in renal tissues promotes the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), leading to oxidative stress, genomic and cellular harm, and ultimately necrotic and apoptotic cell death induced by free radicals. Hence, the utilization of antioxidant phytochemicals becomes crucial for cellular defense against oxidative damage. This study endeavors to explore the potential protective effects of an aqueous avocado seed extract (ASE) on rabbit kidneys exposed to chromium-induced damage.

This article contributes to the search for new therapeutic agents for treatment of diseases caused by bacterial pathogens. In this study, a new series of compounds incorporating numerous bioactive moieties such as quinazolin-2,4-dione, acylthiourea linkage, and/or five membered nitrogen heterocycles (pyrazole and oxazole) 2-5a-c was described to identify new antibacterial drug candidates inhibition of DNA gyrase enzyme. The precursor -['-(2-cyano-acetyl)-hydrazinocarbothioyl]-4-(2,4-dioxo-1,4-dihydro-2-quinazolin-3-yl)-benzamide 2 was prepared by treatment of compound 1 with ammonium thiocyanate and cyanoacetic acid hydrazide through multicomponent reaction (MCR).

A green-complied spectrofluorimetric approach for quantification of the antidepressant, fluvoxamine, has been established. The method that has been suggested relies on the development of an association complex between fluvoxamine and erythrosine B in an acetate buffer solution. After being excited at 530 nm, the quenching in erythrosine B's native fluorescence caused by complex formation with fluvoxamine was detected at a wavelength of 552 nm.

The exploration encompassed the synthesis and characterization of two innovative complexes, namely FePHNS and CuPHNS, employing a diverse array of analytical techniques such as elemental analysis, infrared and ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, molar conductivity measurements, magnetic susceptibility assessments, and thermal analysis (TGA). In the spectral domain, infrared spectroscopy substantiated the tridentate ONS coordination of the PHNS ligand to the central metal atom. Thermal analysis offered valuable insights into the distribution and content of water molecules within the complexes.

In this paper, vilazodone (VLD), a serotonin modulator prescribed for major depressive disorder, was investigated using a rapid, highly sensitive, and eco-friendly spectrofluorometric approach. The native fluorescence of VLD, originating from its indole moiety, exhibited an emission peak at 486 nm upon excitation at 241 nm. However, the presence of a piperazinyl nitrogen atom in the VLD structure, acting as an electron donor, significantly diminished the fluorescence intensity through photoinduced electron transfer (PET) to the indole ring.

A new, straightforward spectrofluorimetric approach with high sensitivity was established for determining midodrine hydrochloride based on derivatizing this drug through its reaction with 5-(dimethylamino)naphthalene-1-sulfonyl chloride (dansyl chloride). The highly fluorescent product was extracted with methylene chloride, and then its emission was measured at 532 nm after excitation at 339 nm. The reaction was conducted in aqueous medium containing 0.

Hematological disorders are common medical ailments constituting an important cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, which may be managed efficiently using different prophetic medicine remedies as adjuvants to current therapeutics. Prophetic medicine includes the body of knowledge about medicine that has been derived from the deeds, customs (sunnah), ahadith (sayings), actions, and agreements of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. This review article aims at exploring the magnitude of therapeutic benefits of prophetic medicine remedies as adjuvant treatments to many different types of hematological disorders.

Background: Paracetamol (acetaminophen) is an over-the-counter non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that may cause acute toxic overdosage particularly in neuropsychiatric patients. Paracetamol is also very commonly prescribed as an analgesic and antipyretic agent. Paracetamol toxicity causes decreased reduced glutathione and oxidative tissue damage.

As the scarcity of published research that comprehensively and meticulously analyzed the patient, disease, and treatment factors of prognostic significance in Ewing sarcoma (EWS) in Egypt; This study aimed at assessing survival outcomes of EWS in Upper Egypt, delineating factors of prognostic significance in comparison to other leading oncology centers in Egypt and internationally. By retrospectively reviewing medical records of 85 patients with a verified diagnosis of EWS in the period from 2001 to 2015 at Pediatric and Medical Oncology Departments at South Egypt Cancer Institute; We gathered data relevant to the patient, disease, and treatment variables of the study. Survival was estimated using the Kaplan Meier method and differences between various groups were determined by log rank test.
