Despite the existence of effective medicines, heart failure continues to be the largest cause of illness and death worldwide. As a prospective family of drugs with potential cardiovascular advantages in non-diabetic patients, sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2-I) have recently come to the forefront. In this comprehensive study, we assessed the favorable cardiovascular outcomes of SGLT2-I in three sizable, randomized trials with both diabetic and non-diabetic populations.

Monkeypox was a zoonotic infection, first detected in parts of northern Africa in the 1970s. Monkeypoxvirus, the causative agent of monkeypox, is a species of genus Orthopoxvirus and is closely related to long-eradicated smallpox caused by variola virus. Outbreaks in the West (in USA, UK, and Ireland) along with periodic re-emergence of the disease in parts of Africa have generated concern among global health bodies due to the existent deficiency of guidelines for management of the disease.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is claiming millions of lives and creating an additional burden on health care, which is already affected by the rise of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). The scientific community, on the other side, is enormously engaged with studies to best identify the characteristics of the virus and minimize its effect while supporting the fight to contain NCDs, mainly cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), which are contributing hugely to the global death toll. Hence, the roles of vitamin D in COVID-19 immunity and cardiovascular health are gaining traction recently.

The diagnosis was based on histopathological and immunohistochemical (IHC) evaluation, which is indispensable for determining tumor type. On the basis of clinicoradiological findings, provisional differential diagnoses of angiofibroma and rhabdomyosarcoma were made.
