Transglutaminase 2 (TG2) is an enzyme with multiple conformations. In its open conformation, TG2 exhibits transamidase activity linked to fibrosis, arterial remodeling, and endothelial dysfunction, a process enhanced by high glucose in endothelial cells. However, the closed conformation of TG2 contributes to transmembrane signaling and nitric oxide (NO)-dependent vasorelaxation.

This study examines if healthcare professionals, especially doctors and nurses, have larger bladder capacities than the general population, as they often delay restroom breaks.
Methods: At the North Zealand University Hospital Department of Anesthesiology's 2023 Christmas party, participants delayed urination until a strong urge occurred.

This study examines whether there is a correlation between femoral head size and shoe size, with the aim of simplifying the preoperative planning process.

This case report presents a ten-year-old boy with recurrent nosebleeds (epistaxis) over an extended period. In addition, he showed signs of slowed weight gain and developed symptoms such as snoring and sweating during sleep. Rhinoscopy revealed a mass in the nasopharynx, and further tests confirmed the presence of an Epstein-Barr Virus-positive nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

It often presents as minor, less pruritic plaques with subtle characteristics. Pediatric psoriasis is associated with an increased risk of arthritis, metabolic disorders, and psychological conditions, necessitating regular screenings.

Patiens with psoriasis and mild to moderate skin disease can be treated with topical agents. This review finds that the most effective topical treatment is calcipotriol and betamethasone combination formulations. Pure topical corticosteroids continue to have a role in the treatment of psoriasis, as they are available in many strengths and formulations that facilitate ease of use.
