Background And Aims: The European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS) Lipid Clinics Network promoted a survey in order to identify and understand how and when lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] is tested and clinically evaluated in lipid clinics throughout Europe, and the challenges that may prevent evaluation from being carried out.
Methods: This survey was divided into three areas of inquiry: background and clinical setting information of clinicians, questions for doctors who claimed not to measure Lp(a), in order to understand what were the reasons for not ordering the test, and questions for doctors who measure Lp(a), to investigate the use of this value in the management of patients.
Results: A total of 151 centres clinicians filled in the survey, out of 226 invited.

Background: Digoxin treatment has come under scrutiny in recent years after reports from several studies that it is associated with increased mortality in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). The clinical effects of digoxin on mortality were closely related to serum digoxin concentrations (SDC) in these studies. In the present work, we evaluated the role of the SAMe-TTR and modified SAMe-TTR scores in predicting the therapeutic range of digoxin therapy.

Background: Although percutaneous closure of patent ductus arteriosus is an established safe procedure, protrusion of the device to descending aorta may occur in various degrees during these procedures, especially in small infants. The aim of our study is to evaluate the benefits of balloon-assisted device releasing technique in the era of preventing device protrusion and conditions related to protrusion.
Methods: One hundred and fifty-five infants, who underwent patent ductus arteriosus closure with Amplatzer duct occluder I device between January, 2012 and December, 2018, were retrospectively analysed.

Objectives: Although coronary angiography (CAG) is generally performed to rule out coexisting coronary artery disease in patients with cardiac myxoma, its necessity to evaluate vascular supply of the myxoma is debatable. The aim of this article is to evaluate clinical experience and CAG findings in our patient group.
Methods: This retrospective analysis was performed in 46 patients (17 men, mean age 57.

The Chiari network is described as a reticulated network of fibers connected to the Eustachian valve identified as the embryological remnant of the right valve of the sinus venosus. It is an incidental finding without any significant pathophysiological consequences. However, the presence of the Chiari network in the right atrium obliges the physician to differentiate from other right atrial pathologies.

Objective: The aim of our study was to evaluate the effects of LCAT gene polymorphisms 511C/T (exon4), 4886C/T (rs5923), and 608C/T (rs5922) on LCAT enzyme level, activity, and HDL-C levels.
Methods: The study population was selected from consecutive subjects with low (<35 mg/dL) and high HDL-C levels (>65 mg/dL) seen in our lipid clinic.
