Clinical Significance of Coronary Artery Tortuosity in Chronic Coronary Syndrome and Stable Angina: Insights from Gensini Scores.

Objective: This study investigated the clinical significance of coronary artery tortuosity (CAT) in chronic coronary syndrome (CCS) using Gensini scores.

Method: This retrospective single-center study involved 388 patients undergoing coronary angiography for chest pain, excluding those with acute coronary syndromes or prior coronary interventions. Demographic, clinical, and angiographic data were collected and categorized based on the presence or absence of CAT.

Effect of passive smoking on birth weight in pregnant women with vitamin D deficiency living in Turkey: A case control study.

Aim: Although vitamin D deficiency in smokers has a greater risk of low birth weight than vitamin D deficiency or smoking alone, there is no study searching birth weight in vitamin D deficient passive smokers. We evaluated the effect of vitamin D deficiency on birth weight in active and passive smokers. Additionally, we aimed to determine the predictive role of vitamin D for low birth weight in smokers.

Awareness Level of Cervical Cancer Patients Referred to Radiation Oncology Outpatient Clinics-A Multicenter Study.

Objective: The study aimed to assess the level of knowledge of patients with cervical cancer referred to radiation oncology outpatient clinics in Turkey regarding screening methods and human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination and increase social awareness based on the findings.

Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional survey was conducted from January to June 2022 involving 300 patients in various regions. Data on demographics, cervical cancer screening and HPV vaccination knowledge, and recommendations to relatives were collected through a questionnaire-based interview.

Comparing the efficacy of regorafenib and 5-fluorouracil-based rechallenge chemotherapy in the third-line treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer.

Background: The optimal treatment for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) after the second line is still controversial. Regorafenib has been the standard of care in this setting as it improved overall survival (OS) compared to placebo. In real-world practice chemotherapy rechallenge is also a preferred option even though supporting evidence is not enough.

Assessment of Smell and Taste Disorders in COVID-19: A Cross-sectional Study.

Background: It has been reported worldwide that patients with a diagnosis of COVID-19 usually suffer a loss of smell and taste. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the relationship between the severity of the disease and the loss of smell and taste. In addition, we evaluated patients' smell and taste functions after recovery.

[Bradyarrhythmias and pacemaker indications in elderly patients].

With the dramatic increase in the number of elderly people in most parts of the world and in our country there will be an accompanying increase in patients with sinus node dysfunction (SND) and atrioventricular (AV) block. For this reason, it will be essential for health care personnel to have a basic knowledge of bradyarrhythmias and the special considerations required for managing these rhythms in elderly patients. Because of frailty of this patient group indivualised approach and consideration for management of these patients must be done carefully.
