Brain MR images are the most suitable method for detecting chronic nerve diseases such as brain tumors, strokes, dementia, and multiple sclerosis. They are also used as the most sensitive method in evaluating diseases of the pituitary gland, brain vessels, eye, and inner ear organs. Many medical image analysis methods based on deep learning techniques have been proposed for health monitoring and diagnosis from brain MRI images.

A method for managing, securing, and validating health data distribution records using a genetic-based hashing algorithm in a decentralized environment is presented in this research report. The rationale for choosing blockchain is to secure the transaction of health data and protect these data from manipulated fraudulent movement and corruption by a contributor to the chain, or any individual. Our approach uses technology that provides an efficient surveillance measure, including transparency of records, immunity from fraud, and protection from tampering, as well as sustaining the order of data.

Abstract: In drilling process almost seventy percent time is spent in tool switching and moving the spindle from one hole to the other. This time travel is non productive as it does not take part in actual drilling process. Therefore, this non productive time needs to be optimized.

The effectiveness of concrete confinement by fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) materials is highly influenced by the orientation of fibers in the FRP laminates. In general, acceptable deviation limit from the intended direction is given as 5° in most design guidelines, without solid bases and reasoning. In this paper, a numerical study using finite element modeling was conducted to assess the effects of small deviations in fiber orientation from the hoop direction on compressive behavior of concrete cylinders confined with FRP.

Capsule endoscopes are widely used to diagnose gut-related problems, but they are passive in nature and cannot actively move inside the gut. This paper details the design process and development of an anchoring mechanism and actuation system to hold a capsule in place within the small intestine. The design centres around the mechanical structure of the anchor that makes use of compliant Sarrus linkage legs, which extend to make contact with the intestine, holding the capsule in place.

Structural materials sustainability is gaining popularity across the globe at present. Reusing natural resources, building, demolition debris, and solid waste are the most apparent tools to make construction more environmentally friendly. Traditional concrete is believed to be less durable, stronger, environmentally friendly, and socially and commercially feasible than industrial waste concrete.

Background: Publicly funded healthcare system has long non-manageable elective surgery waiting lists due to the non-existence of systematic mathematical modelling that can assess the relative priority of patients on elective surgery waiting lists thus denying the provision of surgical support to the patients with higher urgency. Mostly the patients of general surgery are entertain with highly subjective "time-honoured" methods that are inadequate to measure and compare the urgency of surgical procedure.
Objective: A methodology of assigning priorities to patients on elective surgery waiting lists has been presented in this paper using weighted criteria objectives.

Social media has always been described as the channel through which knowledge is transmitted between communities, students, and learners. This social media has been utilized by university students in a way to encourage collaborative learning and social interaction. This study explores the use of social media in the process of collaborative learning among university students in China using a survey method, a total of 583 students from different universities were surveyed in this study.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) seem to be the most efficient way of achieving the intended aerial tasks, according to recent improvements. Various researchers from across the world have studied a variety of UAV formations and path planning methodologies. However, when unexpected obstacles arise during a collective flight, path planning might get complicated.

The study has been undertaken to integrate two different aspects of the triple helix model: universities and the industry. Special attention has been paid to the prevailing difference between the two, hampering their working as a coherent unit. Integrating the existing knowledge in the study, we proposed the Academia-Industry Collaboration Plan (AICP) design model.

Background: Standardization of software development processes using the software process improvement (SPI) frameworks like capability maturity model integration (CMMI) or the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) are vital for better performance and defect-free delivery of software engineering projects.
Problem: The studies from developing countries show that the organizations are unable to get the desired SPI benefits during early adaptation due to lack of benchmarking initiatives. These initiative needed bridging of the gap between major software engineering fields such as project performance, productivity, and SPI measurement metrics like effort, schedule, cost, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Purpose: Neuropsychiatric manifestation of lupus (NPSLE) is related with vitamin D (vit-D) deficiency which is possibly amenable to supplementation. This study was done to explore link of serum vit-D level and clinical mini-mental state examination (MMSE) with brain perfusion SPECT (BS) in patients with NPSLE.
Methods: Patients who underwent BS with the diagnosis of NPSLE and had serum levels of vit-D and MMSE within a span of 1 month were retrospectively included.
The physical random access channel (PRACH) is used in the uplink of cellular systems for initial access requests from the users. It is very hard to achieve low latency by implementing conventional methods in 5G. The performance of the system degrades when multiple users try to access the PRACH receiver with the same preamble signature, resulting in a collision of request signals and dual peak occurrence.

We explore looptune, a MATLAB-based structured [Formula: see text] synthesis technique in the context of robotics. Position control of a 4 Degree of Freedom (DOF) serial robotic manipulator developed using Simulink is the problem under consideration. Three full state feedback control systems were developed, analyzed and compared for both steady-state and transient performance using the Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) and looptune.

The significant effect of enterprise social media (ESM) usage has been extensively researched. However, recent studies and analysis have also emphasized the importance of understanding the negative aspects of ESM's use. By applying uses and gratifications theory (UGT), this study proposes a research model that tests how employees' ESM usage (hedonic, social, and information values) leads to ESM-related strain through perceived information overload.

Social interactions through social commerce platforms empower consumers to share their personal experiences with others, but its role becomes more significant for societal protection during COVID-19. Numerous scholars have studied e-commerce extensively, but there is a lack of studies to identify social commerce characteristics to attract potential consumers during COVID-19. This study aims to examine the role of social commerce constructs by integrating social presence as a moderator in the model to explain consumers online shopping intentions in a Pakistani context, where lack of trust on the reliability and validity of comments from other consumers being considered the growing concern toward the success of social commerce.

Objectives: In diabetes mellitus, hyperglycemia-mediated nonenzymatic glycosylation of fibrinogen protein plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of micro- and macrovascular complications especially atherosclerosis via the generation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs). Methylglyoxal (MG) induces glycation of fibrinogen, resulting in structural alterations that lead to autoimmune response via the generation of neoepitopes on protein molecules. The present study was designed to probe the prevalence of autoantibodies against MG-glycated fibrinogen (MG-Fib) in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), atherosclerosis (ATH), and diabetic atherosclerosis (T2DM-ATH) patients.
