Coarctation of the aorta (CoA) ranks among the most prevalent congenital heart defects and poses a life-threatening risk if left undiagnosed. Herein, we utilized fetal heart quantification (HQ) technology to improve the prenatal prediction of CoA. In the past few decades, great progress has been made in prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart disease (CHD). Fetal echocardiography is recognized as the main prenatal screening and diagnostic tool that can accurately detect approximately 85 % of fetal cardiac abnormalities. Evaluation of the fetal heart remains a major challenge in prenatal ultrasound screening and diagnosis due to fetal position, involuntary movement, small and complex fetal cardiac anatomy, maternal abdominal wall conditions, and lack of expertise in fetal echocardiography by some physicians engaged in obstetric ultrasound.

Methods: This was a retrospective study. Healthy pregnant women who were examined by antenatal fetal echocardiography from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021, at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital were enrolled.

Osteoarthritis is a prevalent age-related disease characterized by dysregulation of extracellular matrix metabolism, lipid metabolism, and upregulation of senescence-associated secretory phenotypes. Herein, we clarify that CircRREB1 is highly expressed in secondary generation chondrocytes and its deficiency can alleviate FASN related senescent phenotypes and osteoarthritis progression. CircRREB1 impedes proteasome-mediated degradation of FASN by inhibiting acetylation-mediated ubiquitination.

Objective: This study investigated the feasibility and accuracy of fetal intelligent navigation echocardiography (FINE) for the prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart disease (CHD) by inexperienced and experienced operators.
Method: In this prospective study, all volume data sets from 120 fetuses with a broad spectrum of CHD were acquired using spatiotemporal image correlation technology. The prenatal diagnostic procedures were performed by two operators with different experience (beginner: 1 year and expert: 15 years) using FINE and traditional fetal echocardiography.

Objective: To establish the -score equation of right pulmonary artery (RPA) segments for some valuable pulse-wave Doppler parameters (PWD) and estimate their reference ranges in normal fetuses.
Methods: Two hundred and seventy-three normal singleton fetuses at 18-38 weeks were enrolled in this fetal echocardiography of a prospective cross-sectional study. The proximal, middle, and distal segments of RPA of pulsed-wave Doppler parameters, such as peak systolic velocity (PSV) and pulsation index (PI) were obtained by using fetal Doppler echocardiography.

Neural stem cells (NSCs) play an important role in neural tissue engineering because of their capacity of self-renewal and differentiation to multiple cell lineages. The in vitro conventional neurosphere culture protocol has some limitations such as limited nutrition and oxygen penetration and distribution causing the heterogeneity of cells inside, inaccessibility of internal cells, and inhomogeneous cellular morphology and properties. As a result, cultivation as a monolayer is a better way to study NSCs and obtain a homogeneous cell population.

Purpose: To compare the objective and subjective image quality between composed images from split-filter twin beam dual energy (TBDE) and single-energy computed tomography (SECT) in abdominal CT.
Methods: In this prospective study, 103 patients were imaged using TBDE (n = 51) or SECT (n = 52). The CT number and noise were measured for the following six abdominal structures: liver, spleen, fat, muscle, aorta and portal vein.

Background: We present a case of post-traumatic endophthalmitis with relatively good prognosis caused by Gordonia sputi, which, to our knowledge is the first case in the literature.
Case Presentation: A 24 year old man, who underwent an intraocular foreign body extraction half a month before presentation in the left eye, was referred to us complaining of blurred vision and slight pain for 5 days. His first presentation showed moderate intracameral and intravitreous purulent inflammation with a best corrected vision of counting fingers.

To evaluate the diagnostic efficacies of BRAF(V600E) testing and Bethesda system for reporting thyroid cytopathology (BSRTC) in thyroid nodules with thyroid imaging reporting and data system (TIRADS) category 4 and 5. A total of 187 thyroid nodules in 187 patients underwent the examinations of ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) and BRAF(V600E) mutation were analyzed retrospectively. Receive operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to investigate the diagnostic values of both methods and the clinical application of BRAF(V600E) combined with BSRTC was evaluated.
