Background: Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disease affecting the neuromuscular junction, and in over 80% of cases, antibodies are identified against the nicotinic type of acetylcholine receptor (AChR) on the muscle endplate. Despite the availability of various treatment options, patients with MG experience relapses and remission during the course of the disease. Aims and Objective: To understand the clinical profile, predictors of outcomes in acetyl choline receptor (AChR) antibody positive generalized MG.

Immunogenicity and safety of Biological E's CORBEVAX™ vaccine compared to COVISHIELD™ (ChAdOx1 nCoV-19) vaccine studied in a phase-3, single blind, multicentre, randomized clinical trial.

Optimum formulation of Biological-E's protein subunit CORBEVAX™ vaccine was selected in phase-1 and -2 studies and found to be safe and immunogenic in healthy adult population. This is a phase-3 prospective, single-blinded, randomized, active controlled study conducted at 18 sites across India in 18-80 year-old subjects. Fluvoxamine-induced intracranial hypertension in a 10-year-old boy.

Drug-induced intracranial hypertension is a well-established entity. We report a rare case of intracranial hypertension with papilledema in a 10-year-old boy following use of fluvoxamine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. On discontinuing the drug, the papilledema resolved over 4 months without any residual visual anomalies.

Congenital laryngeal web is a rare anomaly with incidence of 1 in 10,000 births. Its clinical presentation may range from an asymptomatic patient or mild hoarseness of voice to severe respiratory stridor. Pure cortical ependymoma: A rare entity.

Ependymomas are mostly infratentorial, intraventricular tumor, accounting for 2-9% of all central nervous system tumors. Supratentorial pure cortical ependymoma are extremely rare tumor with definite ependymal morphology and uncertain histogenesis. They are mostly low grade tumor and are cured with resection, rendering them favorable prognosis.

Special Relevance of FDG-PET as an Upfront Diagnostic Modality at Initial Diagnosis and in Suspected Recurrence in Patients of Breast Carcinoma Hailing From Lower Socioeconomic Status Owing to Relative Late Presentation: A Pilot Study in a Medical College Hospital Setting in India.

FDG-PET has found relatively limited use in routine management of breast carcinoma due to its limited utility in assessing the primary and axillary lymph node status. The aim of the study was to assess its role in a medical school and municipal hospital setting of Mumbai, where majority belongs to the lower socioeconomic status and presents relatively late and hence whole body FDG-PET could find important place for assessing whole body disease status that would justify being used upfront in this group of patients. Thus, the premise of this study was that FDG-PET will have special relevance in this particular setting for evaluation of patients of breast carcinoma with respect to initial staging, detection of locoregional recurrence and metastasis and assessing response to systemic treatment.
