Health literacy as a predictor of cardiovascular disease risk factor knowledge level among women in Turkey: A community-based cross-sectional study.

While more common in men globally, heart diseases also rank as the leading cause of death among women. This study aimed to examine the relationship between Turkish women's level of knowledge about cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors and their health literacy. Data for this descriptive and cross-sectional study were collected online by using Health Literacy Scale and CVD risk factor knowledge level scale from October 2022, to May 2023.

The Effect of an Emotion Recognition and Expression Program on the Alexithymia, Emotion Expression Skills and Positive and Negative Symptoms of Patients with Schizophrenia in a Community Mental Health Center.

This study aimed to examine the effect of an emotion recognition and expression program (EREP) on the alexithymia, emotion expression skills and positive and negative symptoms of patients with schizophrenia. The study had a non-randomized, quasi-experimental design including a pretest, post-test, and follow-up test. It was conducted with 36 patients with schizophrenia ( = 18 intervention group,  = 18 control group) who regularly visited a Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) in Türkiye and participated voluntarily.

The relationship between alexithymia, communication skills and mental well-being of nurses' in Turkey: A cross-sectional study.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between alexithymia, communication skills, and mental well-being of nurses.

Methods: This descriptive and correlational study was conducted with 272 nurses working in a hospital in Turkey. Data were collected using the "Introductory Information Form", "Health Professionals Communication Skills Scale", "Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale", and "Toronto Alexithymia Scale".

Determining the relationship between anxiety levels, stress coping styles, and emotional eating of women in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Purpose: This study aimed to determine the relationship between women's anxiety levels and their style of coping with stress and emotional eating in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Methods: This is a cross-sectional study and data were collected using online surveys. The sample of the study consisted of 450 women between the ages of 18-65, who have no understanding and perception problems, and who are willing to participate in the study.

The reliability and validity of the Turkish version of the postdialysis fatigue scale.

Aim: Haemodialysis (HD) commonly leads to postdialysis fatigue (PDF) and, thus, worsens the quality of life and the clinical outcomes. The aim of this study was to translate, linguistically validate and determine the psychometric properties of the "Postdialysis Fatigue" Scale for Turkish patients with HD.
