The world has witnessed an extreme vulnerability of a pandemic during 2020; originated from China. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is infecting and beginning deaths in thousands to millions, creating of the global economic crisis. Biosurfactants (BSs) can carry the prevention, control and management of pandemic out through diverse approaches, such as pharmaceutical, therapeutic, hygienic and environmental.

HIV-Associated Systemic Sclerosis: Literature Review and a Rare Case Report.

Highly antiretroviral therapy (HAART) used in Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) treatment may prolong the life span of people living with HIV/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) but may also induce the onset of autoimmune disorders. However, HIV-associated systemic sclerosis (SSc) is an extremely rare occurrence, and only four case reports and two studies documenting this association have been reported to date. We report a rare case of HIV-associated SSc who was referred to us for pain management in her mandibular teeth.

A review on synthetic strategy, molecular pharmacology of indazole derivatives, and their future perspective.

With different nitrogen-containing heterocyclic moieties, Indazoles earn one of the places among the top investigated molecules in medicinal research. Indazole, an important fused aromatic heterocyclic system containing benzene and pyrazole ring with a chemical formula of C H N , is also called benzopyrazole. Indazoles consist of three tautomeric forms in which 1H-tautomers (indazoles) and 2H-tautomers (isoindazoles) exist in all phases.

Divided target optimization with volumetric modulated arc therapy planning to improve target coverage and homogeneity in lung radiation therapy.

Purpose: To investigate and evaluate the feasibility of a simple modified Divided Planning Target Volume (DPTV) optimization method in radiation therapy planning of lung cancer patients.

Methods: A cohort of 15 patients of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (13 patients stage III and two patients of stage II) who were previously treated with Concurrent Chemo Radiation Therapy were included in the study. The planning modality was Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy, and the dose prescription was 60 Gray in 30 fractions.

Fractal Dimension as a Tool for Assessment of Dental Implant Stability-A Scoping Review.

A lot of modalities for assessing implant stability are available for clinicians, but they fail to assess trabecular changes as they are solely dependent on the operator's skills. The use of Fractal Dimension (FD) has evolved to be used as a measure for trabecular changes depicting implant stability before and after implant placement. The objective of this systematic review was to qualitatively analyse the available scientific literature describing the use of FD as a tool to measure implant stability on the basis of trabecular changes.

Trifoliate mesenteric lymphatic malformation.

Mesenteric lymphatic malformations are rare lesions and its diagnosis can cause dilemma in spite of imaging studies. A laparotomy revealed this diagnosis in a five-year-old child who presented with abdominal pain.

Clinical Outcome and Comparison of Regenerative and Apexification Intervention in Young Immature Necrotic Teeth-A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

This systematic review aimed to evaluate interventions individually and compare the clinical outcome of young, immature teeth treated with regenerative endodontic therapy (RET) and apexification procedure. The protocol was registered with PROSPERO (International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews), bearing the registration number CRD42021230284. A bibliographic search in the biomedical databases was conducted in four databases-PubMed, CENTRAL, EMBASE and ProQuest-using searching keywords and was limited to studies published between January 2000 and April 2022 in English.

The Bone Lid Technique in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery: A Scoping Review.

This scoping review aimed at reporting the outcomes of the bone lid technique in oral surgery in terms of bone healing, ridge preservation, and incidence of complications. Bone-cutting instruments and stabilization methods were also considered. PubMed, Scopus, and the Cochrane Register of Controlled Trials were searched using a combination of terms, including bone lid, bony window, piezosurgery, microsaw, cysts, endodontic surgery, impacted teeth, and maxillary sinus.

Aquaculture omics: An update on the current status of research and data analysis.

Aquaculture is the fast-growing agricultural sector and has the ability to meet the growing demand for protein nutritional security for future population. In future aquaculture is going to be the major source of fish proteins as capture fisheries reached at its maximum. However, several challenges need to overcome such as lack of genetically improved strains/varieties, lack of species-specific feed/functional feed, round the year availability of quality fish seed, pollution of ecosystems and increased frequencies of disease occurrence etc.

Comparative evaluation of transpalatal arch and vertical holding appliance at different heights.

Objectives: An effective method for controlling vertical dysplasia remains a concern for orthodontists. This study aims to compare the stresses on the maxillary first molars while changing the height of the loop/acrylic pad of the transpalatal arch (TPA) and vertical holding appliance (VHA) during swallowing using finite element analysis.

Methods: Head and neck computed tomography (CT) of a patient with levelled and aligned maxillary teeth was taken for a three-dimensional reconstruction.

Chemotherapy-associated oral complications in a south Indian population: a cross-sectional study.

Over the years, chemotherapy (CT) has evolved as an essential therapeutic modality for cancer, with oral manifestations frequently encountered as complications of cancer CT. Our study aimed to assess the prevalence of oral complications during CT and evaluate the significance of independent risk factors (age, gender, socio-economic status, oral hygiene practices etc). A cross-sectional study was carried out in a tertiary cancer hospital in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, in which a total of 138 hospitalized patients undergoing CT and fulfilling the inclusion and exclusion criteria were included.

Integrated Expression Analysis of Small RNA, Degradome and Microarray Reveals Complex Regulatory Action of miRNA during Prolonged Shade in Swarnaprabha Rice.

Prolonged shade during the reproductive stage can result in significant yield losses in rice. For this study, we elucidated the role of microRNAs in prolonged-shade tolerance (~20 days of shade) in a shade-tolerant rice variety, Swarnaprabha (SP), in its reproductive stage using small RNA and degradome sequencing with expression analysis using microarray and qRT-PCR. This study demonstrates that miRNA (miR) regulation for shade-tolerance predominately comprises the deactivation of the miR itself, leading to the upregulation of their targets.

Intraoral osseous choriostoma---Case report and review on its biological occurrence.

The terminology choriostoma describes a tumor-like lesion belonging to hamartomatous group of pathology, that is, normal tissue found in abnormal location. Osseous choriostomas in oral cavity are rare and mostly the cases have been reported in tongue but rarely arising from the interdental gingiva. There are various pathological entities arising from gingiva that give a thought of wider differential diagnosis starting from inflammatory to traumatic origin.

Extraosseous Spread of Multiple Myeloma Mimicking Pancoast Tumor.

A 55-year-old man presented with upper backache for one month, inability to move both the lower limbs for two weeks and retention of urine for five days. Examination revealed spastic paraplegia and reduced breath sounds in the right upper zone. Initial imaging revealed a soft tissue lesion in the apex of the right lung, suggesting a Pancoast tumor.

Clinico-Radiological Profile and Outcome of Airway Foreign Body Aspiration in Children: A Single-Center Experience From a Tertiary Care Center in Eastern India.

Background Foreign body aspiration is one of the leading causes of childhood morbidity and mortality among older infants and toddler age groups. Missed and delayed diagnosis of foreign body aspiration can lead to increased incidence of complications. Early diagnosis can prevent life-threatening complications and morbidity.

Rapid Recurrence of Giant Cell Tumour of C2 Vertebra After Long-Term Denosumab Following Surgical Resection.

A 25-year-old man presented with symptoms of cervical myelopathy for 10 days. Imaging revealed an expansile, lytic lesion involving the C2 vertebra completely and compressing the spinal cord, suggestive of giant cell tumor (GCT). Tumor resection and posterior stabilization from C1-C4 were done.
