Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a central nervous system disorder that can lead to sensory and motor dysfunction, which can seriously increase pressure and economic burden on families and societies. The current SCI treatment is mainly to stabilize the spine, prevent secondary damage, and control inflammation. Drug treatment is limited to early, large-scale use of steroids to reduce the effects of edema after SCI.

Objects: Explore the relationship between the neural function deficit and the changes of lncRNA and mRNA in hippocampus after traumatic brain injury (TBI) in rats.
Methods: Twenty male rats weighted 200-240 grams were randomly divided into sham group and TBI group. Neurologic severity score (NSS) was performed after operation, and the hippocampus of rats was collected for long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), mRNAs microarray detection, real-time quantitative PCR Detecting System (Q-PCR), western blot (WB) detection, and serum biochemical detection.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a common neurodegenerative disease in the central nervous system. The pathological manifestations mainly consist of α-synuclein accumulation, degeneration and death of dopaminergic neurons, and insufficient dopamine secretion. There are many pathophysiological mechanisms leading to these pathological changes.

Background: Bilateral Paravertebral block has been used successfully for postoperative pain relief in thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic regions. Despite the need for relatively large doses of local anaesthetics, there are few reports of systemic toxicity. Here we reported a case of local anaesthetic toxicity after ultrasound-guided bilateral thoracic paravertebral block before general anaesthesia leading to mental.

Methods: The potential targets of active ingredients of Ginkgo biloba were collected by Traditional Chinese Medicine Integrated Database platform (TCMSP). TCMSP is a pharmacological system for drug discovery from Chinese herbal medicine.
The receptor tyrosine kinases MET and AXL have been implicated in tumorigenesis and aggressiveness of multiple malignancies. We performed this study to evaluate the antitumor impact of LY2801653, a dual MET and AXL inhibitor on gastric cancer and to elucidate the underlying mechanisms. In the present study, tissue microarrays containing gastric cancer tissues were stained with MET and AXL antibodies, which showed the prognostic values of MET and AXL.

Here, we design and evaluate novel long-lasting GLP-1R G-protein-biased agonists with promising pharmacological virtues. Firstly, six GLP-1R G-protein-biased peptides (named PX01-PX06), screened by using a previous reported high-throughput autocrine-based method, were fused to the N-terminus of GLP-1(9-37) to generate six fusion peptides (PX07-PX012). surface plasmon resonance (SPR) measurements showed that PX09 exerts the highest binding affinity for both human and mouse GLP-1R extracellular domains (ECD).

Meta-analyses of observational studies suggest that general anesthesia increases morbidity and mortality compared with conscious sedation. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials to examine the effect of anesthetic strategy during endovascular treatment for acute ischemic stroke.

Objective: We describe the clinical findings regarding 2009 influenza A (H1N1)-associated pediatric deaths in China, including the risk factors for death.
Methods: The definition of 2009 influenza A (H1N1)-associated pediatric death is death in a child who is younger than 14 years and has laboratory-confirmed influenza.
Phylogenetic relationships and lineage diversification of the family Salicaceae (.) remain poorly understood. In this study, we examined phylogenetic relationships between 42 species from six genera based on the complete plastomes.

Trametinib is a novel anticancer drug for treating metastatic cutaneous melanoma. The present study probed into the binding of trametinib to human serum albumin (HSA) through spectroscopy methods and molecular simulations. Trametinib could quench the fluorescence of HSA through static quenching which could be probed fluorescence spectroscopy and time-resolved fluorescence.

remineralization of hydroxyapatite on a human tooth enamel surface induced by anti-caries bioactive components is an alternative restorative strategy against dental caries. In this study, a novel biomimetic peptide DE-11, inspired by the salivary phosphoprotein statherin, was developed, and it showed beneficial potentials for the restoration of demineralized tooth enamel . The peptide DE-11 contained the initial six-peptide sequence of N-terminus of statherin extended by a mineralization hydrophilic tail composed of consecutive acidic amino acids capable of adsorbing calcium and phosphate ions.

It is widely believed that species richness patterns (SRPs) are shaped by both ecological and evolutionary processes. However, the relative roles of these processes remain unclear, especially for aquatic organisms. In this study, we integrated ecological and evolutionary measures to tease apart the relative influences of these factors on the SRP of Tibetan loaches along an extensive elevational gradient.

Methods: Hamilton's Depression Scale (HAMD), Hamilton's Anxiety Scale (HAMA), Addenbrooke's Cognitive Examination Revised (ACE-R), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and Epworth Sleepiness Scale were used to evaluate NMS in 120 patients with primary focal adult-onset dystonia (60 with BSP and 60 with CD) and 60 age-, sex-, and education level- matched healthy controls (HCs). Motor symptoms of BSP and CD patients were evaluated by Jankovic rating scale and Toronto Western Spasmodic Torticollis Rating Scale-severity scale separately.

Materials And Methods: A nationally representative sample of 38,203 Chinese participants was categorized by different levels of urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (ACR; 0 -10 mg/g, 10 -20 mg/g, 20 -30 mg/g, 30 -300 mg/g). The prevalence of albuminuria was compared by using a single urinary ACR cut-off point and by sex-specific ACR cut-off points.
